I am still very much a work in progress and have lost about 6 pounds these were taken, but this is what a 15-pound loss looked like on my apple shape. I don't look too much like an apple any longer, I would like to think I look more like an hourglass now. I ate slightly above my BMR and took up weight training. That's how I did it :)

    I'm 5'5''

you lost only from your belly. Good Job

    Amazing job ladies!
  • I'm apple shaped and I do not like it at all! Right now I weigh 262 and I'm hoping to lose around 100 pounds. Looking at these transformations really inspire me! Hopefully now I can get the ball a rollin'!

I would really appreciate if the other apple shaped women would befriend me and tell me what I should expect as I start to lose weight.

This is my halfway mark. I'm mostly an apple, but I was getting to the point where I was putting on weight everywhere. It seems to be leaving my stomach last though.

I've decided to maintain at 125# (I'm 5'4") even though my belly still leaves much to be desired. I am afraid I'll lose my butt and boobs forever if I go much farther. Hopefully, 6 Week 6 Pack will help, but I honestly don't hold out much hope of ever having a tight belly. I look good though. I think I do. :)

    I started at 155# and that's 6 weeks after 30DS, not 6 weeks of diet/exercise. lol

I wouldn't even describe my physique as an apple..more like a meatball on a stick! I feel like most of the weight I have lost is from my face/neck and butt/legs. It's frustrating when you just want the belly to go away. According to my measurements I have lost 7 inches on my waist, so that is super encouraging. I have only gone down from size 24 to an 18 though.. First pic is from 3 years ago when I was at my heaviest.. 310. I am down 85 pounds from that in the other pics.

You look fabulous! You carry your weight very well! You're gorgeous at 310 & now. I love the pic with the pink shirt facing forward. I'd never have guessed in a million years that you were over 200 lbs. =)

The apple shape is not a permanent curse. I had it even when I was a runner, 20 yrs. old and 126, and now I box at 29 and I'm 128-130 with a way better body.

I don't know what happened, but around my mid twenties, I lost about 10-15 lbs I'd put on at my desk job, and my stomach got really tight and toned, and I now have a 26" waist and no muffin top in my beyond tight jeans.

It might have been hormonal, or it might have been changes to diet and exercise that changed my fat distribution. I realized I had food allergies, so I stopped eating a lot of things there were causing bloating. Corn, dairy and flour. My abs started getting really hard from all the hiking I was doing for work, and I maintained that by adding ab work to my regular routine. I highly recommend Pilates ab work.

What workout routine are you currently working with? I am 150lbs now and my body looks like yours as well. Just curious, because right now I am only currently working on lifting.
