How did you do it? I keep coming and going from MFP and struggling to lose weight. help!
You just do it. I've tried for years on and off to loose weight but then I've asked myself, are you sure you really tried or did you just do a phone it in? I have'nt lost a ton of weight yet but so far what I've learned on this sight is celebrate the small victories, work hard and keep tracking your calories. Start off by loging your calories (I do 1200 - 1500 cals a day) and find an activity that you like to do that will get you moving and wait for a change. If your not seeing results in a reasonable amount of time add some more activity and see what your doing wrong with your diet and don't stop till you see a change.0 -
I started at 334 and have lost 30 lbs. Its tough but we can do it. Anyone feel free to add me always looking for new friends0

I started out at 276 pounds, now at 172 pounds, with about 25-45 still to go, depending on how it goes lol. The key is to not give up!!

I started around 265 and got down to 216. I plateaued for almost an entire year of eating 1300 calories and gained back 15 before I raised them up to 1900 and started seeing a difference again! We have to fuel our bodies!

Your pictures are amazing. How have you lost so much weight. I notice a bike in your second pic. How far do you bike? How often?
I just saw your question today... I'm so sorry that I missed it, but I do bike regularly. For the most part, I do so for transportation purposes because I find myself angry when driving all the time and being outside is really great for me, but over the last 6 months or so, I've taken it to more of a "sport" side as well. In addition to doing kickboxing several days a week, I try to ride regularly (between 20 and 40 miles) a few days a week. With winter approaching, I'm not sure I'll be able to maintain that schedule, but there's always the gym (though the stationary bike isn't nearly as much fun). :O)0 -

ETA. Sorry for such a small picture, I'm at work and was only able to take it off of my display pic!0 -
This is me with only an 8 lb difference... I have gained it back since taking this picture and I am working my buns off to get em off, but it's a slow and difficult process... I understand how you feel completely... The only advice that I can provide is think of how you life could change for the better and for the worse. I also do frequent before & after pics to see progress even when the scale doesnt move. Right now I alk 300 lbs and almost 5'9. Here is my before & after pic... I hope that you can find some strength and/or courage in seeing this... Remember... This is what ONLY AN 8 LBS loss looks like...

I started out about 365 (I think I was more but I didn't really log it) and now I'm down to 319 but I still have a long way to go. I'm having a hard time finding pics of myself that heavy so my advice is to take pics!!! It's hard to tell a difference sometimes if you don't have pics!!0

I was 283 at my heaviest. Im down to 260. I still have a very long way to go. Its hard to stay motivated sometimes, but you just have to remember that you are worth the effort and the hard work! :flowerforyou:0

You can go to my profile. I dont know how to post pics...
Well my heaviest was 312 I think my big pics are from HS and maybe about 280 (the one pic is me in my prom dress I think). Last I weighed I hover around the 180s so that is me in the purple shirt the bikini I tried on...which yikes I might take that down...0 -
Eta, I started in the 260s
Wow! What a change, great job0 -
Started at 346 at 201.4 today. Pics on profile.
Good luck to you!0 -
i started on here early September 2012 at 249, the first pic is 250lb and now I'm 24lb down, eating less processed and high fat food and walking has had a big impact, I'm now planning on starting a more intense exercise regime to get more weight off and start toning.
edited cause of pic size, fixed now0 -
A little lower but I started out at about 240:
And as of my last weigh in was about 204:
That took about 6 months and I'm aiming to drop another 400 -
I am loving all of these before/ after pics. Sometimes I just scroll through and look at them when I need a boost. It is my go-to when I am bored as well.
I started around 305 - 310. Avoided scales like the plague at that time so I am not too sure. I was 304 at the docs office and didn't start until a 3 weeks after that.
I am currently 235 and looking for friends who log regularly who have a journey similar to mine. Add me! (height is 5'7 and age is 24)
I was thinking of doing a progress pic thread when I hit ONEderland but I am just too nervous now.0 -

It's intimidating thinking about losing so much. But slow and steady works. The most important thing is to keep at it and never give up..0
