    I am from Indiana... married at 19. I am 31 now. First two are 17 months apart. Then 3 years, and second two are 15 months apart.
    Child 1: 21
    Child 2: 23

    I was 19 when I got pregnant and 20 when I had my first... have 3 all together, I'm 27 now. And yes... they all have the same dad! And we're married! Think I'm one of the lucky ones. :)

    I have been surprised at the number of women on the board who report having their first child when they were in their teens. That was really common when I was having mine (60's) but I thought first time mothers were older now. (My daughter-in-law was 33 when she had our first grandson.) I have no statistics to support my impression but I was just wondering. Is it generational? Regional? Anyone care to satisfy my curiosity by posting where you are from, your age now and your age when you had your first child? I will start;

    Age when first child was born: 23

    Born in Philippines 1967 lived in US since I was 18mo old
    Age now: 44
    1st Marriage: @ age 17 yrs :frown: :indifferent:
    Many miscarriages from age 20 to 24 too early in pregnancy :brokenheart:
    Age when first child was born: 24 ( Gave birth but a misscarriage @ 5 months gestation) :sad: :brokenheart:
    Age of 2nd Child: 33yrs old in 2000 Live birth:heart:
    Age of 3rd Child: 36 yrs old in 2003 ( Miscarriage)
    2nd Marriage: @ age 44 yrs :heart:

    16, I was very different than most teen girls. Hard life makes you grow up fast. I was tired and wanted it all to stop! It did, and I have zero regrets. Second at 18. I am 20 now. 15 days until our 5 year anniversary!

    I am 23 and my story is similar. First baby at 15. Married at 18, second baby at 19, third at 22. Then my husband got a vasectomy :) Our 5th wedding anniversary is in July. It is definitely embarrassing to tell people how old I was when my oldest was born but there isn't much I can do about it now! I lived in British Columbia, Canada, at the time.

    I was 15 pregnant and 16 when I had my first, my hubby was 17 back then, and we have 2 more boys 10 and 17 and we have been together for 24 years and married for 20 years

    First child at 28 (yes, we really waited that long before taking the plunge), second at 32.

    I was born in the mid-1950s.

    But then, my parents were in their late 20s before they had us kids, so my experience was being raised by people older than most of my peers' parents. My kids (should they choose to have children) are following the same path.

    I will admit I had my kids young and not going to lie none were exactly planned but I love my life non the less :)

    I will be 23 tomorrow (3/6) and here were the ages of when I had my kiddos::
    Nevaeh- I was 17
    Trinity- I was 18
    Kent- I was 23
    I live in iowa

    I don't plan on having more kids and no it wasn't a "everyone else was doing it" type thing...I wasn't using protection and they just became part of my life...I love my kids and wouldn't change anything :)
