One is Nana, the other Grandma. For some strange reason we called my grandpa Gump (I miss him).

Gogo (my grandmother) - it was her name given by her grandkids and stuck through great grand kids
Grandma - My mother to my son, and my husband's grandmother to him
Grammie - my husband's grandmother to him, my husband's mother to my son
Meme - my husband's grandmother to my son
Grandma <insert name first or last> - typical handling of great grandparents that aren't seen very often.

I became a grandmother at 41 and felt too old to be a granny so I am a GRAMMY. My sister carried that on when she became a grandmother too. I have a friend whose children refer to their grandmothers as Nana and Nona respectively.

I call my grandma "Oma". She is Croatian, but I am pretty sure that is a Dutch/German thing. My Opa was German so that makes sense :)

Babushka - Russian. Grandma passed away so my mom always says when she becomes a grandma she wants to be called GG so it's short for Gorgeous Grandma! lol.

My mom's mom I call, "abue" short for abuela because when I was little I'd leave off the "la" part  Her nickname though, for everyone else is Koki.

My dad's mom who passed away I'd call "mima" or abuela. And my dad's dad, is "pipo".

Growing up I had two "Grammy's". Paternal distinquished by adding my grandfather's name. Maternal distinquished by adding my uncle's name. So "PopPop's Grammy" and "Trevor's Grammy". My maternal grandparents were divorced, and my uncle was still living at home with my grandmother, hence "Trevor's Grammy".

My nieces call my mom "La La". Dad is "Poppy". My mom's name is Linda, but one of my cousins couldn't pronounce Linda when they were little, so she became Aunt La La. Mom had a really hard time becoming a "grandmother", so I suggested she just drop the "Aunt" part and be "La La", because she'd already been that for years.

Other grandmothers in the family are "Bella" and "Granny D".
