    Thanks Char, great challenge! I accept :) I think my new workout will be running. I will try my best to do it Saturday. I'll need your accountability though! More water and a no meat day - no problem. Do something nice for myself each day: I'll have to plan ahead to make this happen. 7 nice things I can think of to last me through next week: 1) exercise, 2) pray/read Bible, 3) call a friend, 4) take a technology fast (one day with no web surfing, no TV and no games/apps), 5) pedicure/manicure, 6) buy myself a small Christmas gift ($10), 7) take a walk during lunch instead of just sitting at my desk. Whoa, it's sad how hard it was to come up with that list of nice things.

    Wonderful list of things to do for yourself I certainly need to take a day from technology!! I will definitely check in on you to see how the week is going for you. Today I will be doing my no meat day if all goes well I may push for another before the week ends.

    Hosting the Picture

    1) Go to an image-hosting site (for example, photobucket or tinypic- photobucket requires making an account). Upload your picture. To do this, click the button that says "Browse" and choose your photo from there. When you have selected your photo and clicked "OK", click the UPLOAD button.
    2) Wait until it is completely loaded and shows you a bunch of different codes. We're going to use the URL that's called IMG (or Image) code. Highlight the entire code, right click, and click "copy".

    Placing the Picture on MFP
    1) Get onto your favorite board or wherever you would like to post the picture, and start your message. Now, right click inside this typing/text box, and click "Paste", The code that you coped earlier should show up. You may notice that the code looks something like this: (without the spaces)

    Well, that's all fine and dandy, except that we can't have those capital letters in there.

    2) Take the code that you have down, and change the capital IMG to lowercase img (on both ends of the code), so that it looks something like this: *********** (without the spaces)

    3) Write whatever else you feel like writing in the space, then click the Post button, and you're done!!

    Congrats Clarita and Char!!!!!

    I will *try* the no meat thing before Wednesday. I think I can do that. ((I love my chicken))
    I will also try something new....actually wanted to since it has been too cold to get out and walk/jog.
    Upping my water... I'm doing pretty good there, but maybe hit 14 glasses instead of 13.

    I have a job interview at Aldi's supermarket Monday early afternoon. If that doesn't pan out I have other places I will be looking into that isn't in the *slums* of Warren. When you are desperate for a job, you take whatever... but this time I'm being more selective.

    Everything will work out.
    I took my daughter off all her medications except her Adderall (which is to help her concentrate while she is in school) So... we will see if that helps her. I honestly believe all those meds were working against each other and making her worse. I have also watched her gain a LOT of weight because those drugs were making her hungry.

    So... here is to another week. Good luck everyone.

    No progress this week :( I blame the Xmas dinner and the cookies/brownies at school. I thought an extra workout & being calorie-strict the following days would undo it but I guess I should just be happy it wasn't more of an increase.

    Time2getFit4Life: Thanks for checking in on me :) These last couple weeks before Christmas are crazy - I've had more events and less time than usual. I did not run on Saturday, but I'll do it soon and let you know - thanks for helping me stick to it! Praying and exercising daily and calling/spending time with friends - check! No meat day, technology fast, mani/pedi, buy myself a treat - not done yet but I'll do them by Wednesday. Walking at lunch - I did on Friday but it didn't feel long enough so I want to do it again - I think I can today.

    Happy to be down even though I'm not back in the 170s yet. I logged a gain here on mfp since I'm up 2 wks in a row. I was mid 180s this weekend and early this week so I'll take this happily. Switched gears - just want to end the year less than when I started this challenge. 2 more weeks to get there. I can do it.

    Hi everyone! I had a nice walk during lunch yesterday and today. I also bought myself some earrings! I don't see running happening this week - it's been crazy getting ready for Christmas, and we're driving out of state on Friday and Saturday. But I will be able to run next week - I'll let you know how it goes.

    Not really sure what's been going on to have gained 5.6lbs over the last two weeks. I know that I have had a few chocolates and a mince pie here and there, and I haven't done much exercise other than walking, but I certainly haven't over-eaten to the tune of 20,000 calories. Grrrrr!

    Hoping it's a combination of stress (work, study and Christmas), water weight and TOM.....

    I totally rocked last week's challenge at the last minute yesterday! Yesterday I did no meat, technology fast (the only exception was weighing in on this thread), and I tried a new type of exercise! I ended up going to a circuit/boot camp in the park that I've never been to before - it was really cool, lots of different types of people, men and women and even kids. There was a lot of running involved. The only thing I didn't get to this last week was a mani/pedi. I still plan to run and do a mani/pedi this coming week - I have two weeks of vacation so it will be easier to find the time.

    How are all of you doing? I can't wait for our new challenge!

    I would love your prayers - driving tonight and all day tomorrow from southern california to northern oregon, over snowy and icy mountains. Praying for no accidents or car trouble and no need to spend an extra night on the road! Thanks!

    I totally rocked last week's challenge at the last minute yesterday! Yesterday I did no meat, technology fast (the only exception was weighing in on this thread), and I tried a new type of exercise! I ended up going to a circuit/boot camp in the park that I've never been to before - it was really cool, lots of different types of people, men and women and even kids. There was a lot of running involved. The only thing I didn't get to this last week was a mani/pedi. I still plan to run and do a mani/pedi this coming week - I have two weeks of vacation so it will be easier to find the time.

    great work withlast week challenge. I did pretty good I had no meat Friday and I went out and di some Christmas shopping for myself so that was me being good to myself especially right now I am normally focused on my kids. I also brought a Lil girl some clothes and shoes who is less fortunate and that made me feel good as well. As for exercise I ran sprints and did tire jumps not new to it but I went much longer than normal so all in all it was pretty good.
