"According to a new study, just 3% of Americans have optimal heart health. Even if you think you’re doing everything right, check out the list of nine heart-healthy items and see where you rank."
Nine criteria:
– No high blood pressure
– No high cholesterol
– No diabetes
– Not overweight
– Not underweight
– Not obese
– Don’t smoke
– Do at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity a week
– Eat five or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day
How many on the list do you meet? Just curious.

8/9. I don't eat enough fruits and veggies.
Same0 -
I think the vegetables and fruits. I might not get all 5 every day...otherwise, I am close to the 3%. The charts say I am not overweight, even though I want to lose 7 more pounds.
A great list to strive to be 100%!
Good question!0 -
9/9 depending on how "overweight" 5'10" 220 is at 15% body fat.0
-
Not yet, 6 out of 9 would be 7, but until nerve root surgery I am bed/couch surfing.0
-
7 of 9: overweight/obese
but working actively to change that.
ditto0 -
9/9! Made the top 3%!0

At 15% bf; you're NOT overweight0 -
6/9. I smoke pipes (but as Bill Clinton said I didn't inhale) and don't get 5 servings of fruits and veggies every single day. I am still a bit over weight but getting closer to not.0

Wow, I actually meet all criteria. Do I get a cookie now?!?!?0

I meet all of them!
YAY!

I have them all but eating 5 servings of fruit of veggies per day? Where am I going to fit in all of my cookies and ice cream???0 -
How much is a serving of vegetables? 5 servings seems like a lot unless you are doubling up at each meal. I do the rest.
1 serving is 1/2 a cup of most veggies/fruit.... 1 cup if it's salad.
Not too much at all considering the calories in the servings - you could go over 5 servings/day and be fine!0 -
I am unhealthy in most any way I know of.0
