My goal for weight loss is to reach my goal weight before spring.
My other goal is to have everyone in the family, write something happy or positive each day, and put it into a jar. At the end of 2013, we'll read them to remember all the happy and good things that happened to us throughout the year.0 -

-Travel to a new city in the USA to visit. I've never been to NY, as an example.
-Build up a better social network, IRL, i.e., more friends.
-Work harder at work on the right things, focus on the next step.0 -
Wow! you guys rock!! Can't believe the response to this topic I posted just yesterday!! Since you're all being so specific, I guess I should too, so here's my detailed list so I can look back on this later:
1. Lose 23 1bs and reach at least 25% body fat
2. Fit back into my size 6-8 clothes comfortably
3. Continue to progress with my strength training, lifting heavier and heavier as I move along
4. Complete Jillian's 30 Day Shred (starting next week)
5. Continue to get in at least 10,000 steps a day with my Fitbit
6. Clean out at least 50% of the processed food in my home and start making 'clean' granola bars, muffins, etc for the kids for their snacks / eat cleaner overall
7. Feel good in the summer wearing shorts and swim suits. :-)
8. Feel comfortable walking around naked!0 -
Ok, I think I figured it out. I like this thread as it made me put things into perspective.
2013 GOALS
Keep doing 6-7 days per week of exercise. I love how I feel afterwards.
Would like to try to aim for 10,000 steps per day and increased water intake.
Start to strength train "lift heavy things" LOL. Gonna look into body weight training. Apparently NerdFitness is a great place for this.
Get rid of my prediabetes, which continued weight loss will do.
Reach my goal weight of 140, only 53 lbs to go.
Spend more time doing things I enjoy which include reading, baking, knitting and crochet.
Learn how to manage my time better. It always seems that I can't get things done.
Purge, purge, and purge some more. I have way to much stuff in my house. I think this lends a hand in why I can't seem to get things done. I am very unorganized.
Lastly, but not to say it isn't important, start a journal. I want to keep notes on my daily life.0 -
I just want to continue to work toward a complete transformation of my life... hoping to lose at least half of my weight this year!0
-
Love this thread...
1. It took me most of 2012 to get (almost) 2/3 of my goal weight lost, so 2013 should see me through that final 1/3.
2. I want to do an official race of 5k or higher every month (already have plans for a 5k, Warrior Dash, 10k,10 Miler and Half so now I just need to fill in the rest of the months).
3. I have been doing the Move Your *kitten* Challenges every month since September here on MFP where you just make your own goal of how many miles you will do in a month in any way you want...walking, running, swimming, biking, hiking, elliptical, et cetera. I have been averaging over 170 a month so I figured I would try for 2,013 miles in 2013. Sounds reasonable?
4. Learn/try to lift heavy.
5. Enjoy life more!0 -
1. To stop stressing over the scale and work harder on toning with WEIGHTS.
2. Fit back in a size 6 jeans.
3. Learn to keep my 'weight loss conversation and obsession' here on MFP.
4. Eat healthy!!!
5. Love myself unconditionally the same way I love others.
Thanks for the Cool Thread Lisa!!!!
Missy
