    Why on earth would you?
Breast milk is formulated to give a baby all the nutrients it needs to grow.
The same applies to cows milk.
Milk is not necessary for grown-ups, sorry if its not the answer you're looking for.

I call BS on this. Human milk is NOT sweeter than cows milk.

Maybe it varies from person to person. My wife's was very sweet.

Well. I tried it. Of course. Here i was nursing the baby with my cup of tea and it was far too much work to go get the cream, so I figured "why not?!"

ETA: I used to also shoot it across the room for kicks. That stuff goes a good 5 ft.

    lol

Mine too, except one time when it tasted like vomit. I'm not sure what went wrong that time.

I don't know, my husband never complained. I didn't drink any on purpose but stuff gets on your hands and hands get in your mouth and I agree . . . generally sweeter than cows milk, but I do believe that it is dependent on diet. For example, I would think that asparagus would do some interesting things to it.

Well, there's also the part about how it's more watery at first and more creamy later. I only ever tried the watery stuff because my baby was too skinny and he needed all the fatty creamy stuff. So maybe I missed out on the good milk.

    Hey.
    It wasn't homogenized!

Even if you get eaten raw*?? That has to be paleo!

    or Goat's milk....or Sheep's milk...

why is it ok when you are an infant but not when you are an adult? where is the cut off on weirdness?

This is very definitely a cultural thing. In other parts of the world women breastfeed even toddlers and no one thinks it is strange. But in the US there are large segments of the population who object to any breastfeeding and segments who think it is weird after 6 months, after a year etc.

I suppose if I adhered to a paleo diet this would be true, however since I don't adhere to paleo wouldn't there be trace of all the non-paleo stuff that I ate in the "meat?"

Find it amusing that at least half of those who are incredulous at the idea of drinking human breast milk, are quite happy to chug away on milk from the breasts of cows.

I have no problem with either. Or goat or sheep. Those are the only ones I've actually had.

I think it's a great idea. Cow milk was made for baby cows. It makes much more sense for humans to drink human milk. Plus, human milk is sweeter and tastes better than cow milk.

    I agree.

Now, would I actually make the plunge? Im not sure. Probably not. Such a stigma that you have to be a baby to enjoy breast milk....

Weird though...I never remember being calf like and I enjoy COW milk.

You're probably not organic but you're as paleo as anything else conceivably could be. Cave men would eat you fo sho!!

I do have a nicely marbled rump roast, if I do say so myself . . . and I'm free range.

Which is so silly. The World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding for a minimum of 2 years. I breastfed my youngest for 2 1/2 years (for various reasons, mostly only in the house at bedtime after he was about 20 months), and he pretty much never gets sick.
