Do you like being stared at?

Ok....I work on a construction site and every time a woman walks by the freak'n job shuts down. Women, do you think this is disrespectful or do you like it? Men, what about you? I KNOW women don't always have this problem!!!

For me I try not to stare because I think it can be disrespectful. But at the same time I'm a guy....I too like to look at the ladies.

What's your take?

You know, it's just whatever. I workout for lots of reasons but I won't lie and say that one of them isn't to get looks lol. As long as they don't cross a line (certain comments or being too aggressive) then stare all you want.

I get stared at in the gym all the time. Don't know why but I don't really care lol.
  • looking is ok, but to hoot and holler and beat on the side of a truck or not just be polite and say hi is the part that gets annoying. So, don't just stare and don't act like she's a dog and as far as I'm concerned, no biggy. It's going to happen. People people watch.

    I stare.

I smile if they look back at me.

I don't whistle or cat call or any of that as usually it doesn't produce a great response.

smart. It's definitely not a turn on to be treated like a piece of meat and is generally not going to get you introduced to the person, if that was the intent, of course.

I actually quite like it, as long as the guys are being nice and not rude. I would not like to think I was getting past the age of getting attention.

staring is only creepy if you don't like who's doing it...
  • If its not total leeching or creepy I think it's pretty harmless and can even bring a wee smile to your face. I think if your non aggressive about it I see no harm in it. Whenever it's happened to me to be honest I've felt like a supermodel all day :)

I am horrified when this happens..I suppose it is flattering on some level BUT really it makes me want to melt through the concrete. I feel like they see everything negative and I get extremely self conscious.

    Ahahaha. That's beautiful.

I don't mind staring. But honking while I'm walking is so cringe-worthy.

I dislike it, because my BDD makes me automatically assume they're staring at me in disgust thinking "Dear God, what is that thing?!"

Depends. I don't really care if there's a stare, but there is a line. There is definitely a creepy stare where it looks like the guy has terrifying thoughts. Any comments are uncool.

I definitely look. I'm a guy. No i'm not staring or cat calling. But yes, I'm going to look. And no, I don't feel the slightest bit guilty about it.

    how YOU doin?:flowerforyou:
  • I think if someone is just "staring" it may make the other person feel uncomfortable regardless of the reason.

I think if someone looks, likes what they see, looks back and smiles at you, that is sexy and flattering :)

I mean....if a girl is hot, I'm gonna look...its only natural, I think girls do the same thing. Attraction is attraction.

I think hooting and hollering is completely different, and I also wont look at women if I'm with my girlfriend out of respect, but its not like she doesnt stare at guys sometimes when with her girlfriends or whatever.

Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it. It's too risky. Ya get a sense of it and then you look away.

and yes, i notice nice looking guys too, a glance or two...:blushing:
  • I don't mind stares. It's my job to look like people would live to stare at me.
I send appreciative looks myself to people in good shape. ;)

If a guy look at me and smile or something (although that's very rare lol), I smile back and/or say hello. If they stare me down (and I know it's hormones raging) I find it pretty uncomfortable. It can become really creepy though
