    I just found this challenge.......so I want to join......I walk mostly with my dogs but sometimes with a friend or my hubby.

    My pedometer remembers what I did in days past so I can post the information since the beginning of the month It is an Omron HJ-720ITC

    January 1---9.08 miles
    January 2---10.36 miles
    January 3---9.48 miles
    January 4---9.14 miles
    January 5---8.88 miles
    January 6--11.17 miles
    January 7---10.43 miles
    January 8---13.24 miles
    January 9---10.12 miles
    January 10---10.03 miles

    I'm so glad to see this challenge. I had challenged myself to 30 min a day, but after seeing this challenge... I'd like to get in an hour a day.... I have trouble allowing myself to count the leisurely walk around the block with the dog though... Any thoughts? Count that in, but do some higher intensity? or only count the high intensity walking???

    I am also doing a step challenge but want to walk more so I will record my formal walks/runs here:
    1/5: 30 minutes
    1/6: 64 minute walk
    1/10: 65 minute walk/run
    1/11: 60 minute walk with my sister

    I put my pedometer in my pocket first thing in the morning and put it on the counter in the bathroom last thing at night and count every step and inch that I walk.....it's all good.:bigsmile:

  • :smile: Just found this thread. Count me in. I started the new year and new month being determined to make walking my choice of exercise. Started Jan 1st with 15 minutes and by January 11 I worked myself up to doing 45 minutes which covers 2 miles. I even have a cross street picked out :smile that takes only 5 minutes. So if I start to slackoff on my walking, I will tell myself just to walk 5 minutes to my cross street. Once I am out I know I will keep walking. Yesterday I walked 45 minutes as well as today, Saturday

    1/11 2 mile
    1/12 2 mile.

    Count me in. I just downloaded Accupedo on my phone to keep track of how many steps I take a day. I have a walking trail right outside of my work so would like to start walking on my 2 fifteen minute breaks and for 30 minutes on my lunch break. So far today I've taken 1085 steps just walking around at work.

    I just downloaded Accupedo to my phone yesterday to track my walking. My goal is 10,000 steps a day. Yesterday, Jan 14 I walked 1255 steps. Ugghh!! That was just the walking I did doing everyday things at work.

    Today I'm going to make an effort to go walking on my breaks at work! Will check in w/ today's steps later.
