  • since soda isn't healthy I decided to try it with diet sparkling water, I've made funfetti, yellow, and brownie mix with it. All were AMAZING

anyone know the estimated calories for any of these cakes

Depending on the cake you pick - 1600-1800 for the whole cake plus about 34 for the egg whits. Zero calories in the pop/soda. Divided by 12 pieces equais approximately 150 calories per serving

for the icing on these cakes I mix a tub of sugar free cool whip and 1/2 t of flavoring(or more to taste) OR I use 1/2 pkt of SF jello. Flavor depends on what i am craving. I have never made the diet cakes with any eggs and I love em.

I've tried this twice and both times the cake came out really dry and it crumbled when I cut it, am I doing something wrong? I didn't add the egg white though, I got this recipe from the Hungry Girl show and she just used a can of diet soda and cake mix.

maybe cooking to long? that would be my guess

Theres a brand of carbonated organic water called Ayala's with exotic flavors like lavender mint, cinnamon orange peel, lemongrass mint vanilla and several other flavors. I bet some of these would be great in the cake mixes.
I have tried the can of pumpkin in spice cake, very moist and chewy. I have also tried canned pie mix (one time apple, one time key lime) ,mixed in angel food cake. Very moist but cake sank once it cooled.. May be better if made in a bundt cake pan instead of a 9x13 or two square pans? I like to idea of the pineapple and angel food cake. I suspect you could use any canned fruit for this.
