Yes, the tracking is what has worked for me. Just being made aware of the calorie content of so many foods has encouraged me to not eat them. I have eaten some of my favorite foods, in moderation, and then just counted them in my daily calorie total and that has worked well for me. I am near my goal and am determined to not get back to where I was as I have done so many times in years past after successful weight loss. BTW, I started MFP right after my 50th birthday in November.0

I struggle with food all the time. I find that working out helps me by giving me more calories to eat and relieving stress. I tend to judge my accomplishments by what others have done, and that sets me back. I may be going slowly on weight loss, get fit journey, but I am going,and that's what is important.0
