Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone survived the long weekend. I'm so excited to see more new members! I can't "re-edit" my post a second time to add names to the list... but everyone is welcome to post on here for updates/support! This weekend I did fairly well. I'm thinking about having a veggie challenge this week. My plan will be to be a vegetarian for the week and incrase my fruit and veggie intake. I'm starting today.. wish me luck and join in if you wish!0 -
Hi everyone,
When I started MFP I was under on calories and working out everyday, but recently have started to eat out a lot. Not only is this not beneficial for health reasons, but also financially. haha. So, I have decided that I am going to go back to being under my calories and continue cooking dinner for the week.
So, I started this morning off with a 20 min run outside. It was great. I may go play basketball later on today after work. So this will be good for me.
So my goals for the week are to:
1. Stay under my calories
2. Work out everyday
3. Drink 10 cups of water
4. Enjoy the warm weather
I was wondering are we weighing in once a week and tracking our progress until July 15th?0 -
Veggies are always good, but don't forget about protein. Protein is like pac-man to fat! Lean chicken and fish, greek yogurt, and canned tuna are all great sources of protein, or even beans if you're keeping it vegetarian.0

Hello Beach Beauties!
I hope that everyone is doing well.... So far I am down a pound from my last weigh in (friday). Are we going to have weigh in's weekly or are we only going to log our losses on July 15?
Does anyone have any good ideas about how to drink more water? I am HORRIBLE at it and need some help or motivation. I think that it would help me loose some of this weight if I drank more of it!0 -

i have problems with water to so I try to disperse it thru the day. if u work in an office I have a water bottle in front of me that holds 2 cups so I try to drink 1 in the morning, 1 at lunch and 1 in the afternoon = 6cups
and then I know I will drink some after my workout and with dinner so I usually get to 8 when I follow this plan.
if you stay at home have a cup or bottle in the kitchen for whenever u go to snack drink water instead, drink a cup between chores, drink one before a meal , during and after. JUST DRINK UP!0 -
I'm in! ashehoff.
Brand new to mfp and ready to make something happen here!
Goal weight- 132 by 7/15

another thing that helps with water intake- add crystal light (every so often) of even a lemon or something, for flavor Honestly though, you'll get used to the water... and you can feel the difference. I was the same and now I love ice cold water! Give it a shot
Also, heres a cool link I found guys!
enjoy

Good Morning Beauties,
Hope everyone is reaching their daily goals. I was short on time so I ran on the treamill this morning - running outside is so much better. But I got in 30 mins. Yeah!
Goals for today:
Another 30 mins of exercise
Lots of water - thanks for the tips yesterday
Stay positive!0 -
Hey,
So I have seen some groups that have put like their starting weights and how much is lost each week. I think that would be a great thing to do. I don't mind taking that information and compiling it. I think it would be a great way to support each other. Maybe I can put it up every Monday to start the week off right. Let me know if everyone is interested and I could work with that. Good luck today! Have a good one!0 -
Hey bballgrrl34,
That's a great idea. I usually weigh in on Fridays.(before the weekend haha). Last Friday my starting weight was 135.2 . I can still use Fridays as my weigh in and give you that number on Monday mornings. Thank you for taking on that task !! Have a great healthy day!!!!0 -
I'm not big on weighing in, but I'm already doing it with another group and probably will be using the same weigh in here as well as we do it on fridays. But perhaps Mondays is a good idea to hold ourselves accountable for the weekend!0
-
SO, if people are interested. Just send me your Start weight and goal weight. I have put everyone's name that has posted in this thread. So, I will compile it and then we can get the send out on Monday.0

but i was at 145 lbs
my goal is to be at 130 lbs
so down with the mini challenges!0 -
I would like to join. My current weight is 136 and my goal weight is 126.

Bballgrrl I love your idea!
Here's my info: Start weight: 140, Goal weight:130
I like the weighing in every monday idea. That way I'll be watching more carefully over the weekend!
My minichallenge for this week: lose one pound, focus on arm and shoulder exercises (alternating with crunches).
I was going to try the "vegetarian for a week" thing but forgot all about the bbq I'm having tonight, so i'll have to save that for another time!
Good luck everyone!0 -

hello everyone i'm 23 years old and a new mommy:happy: and a college student which keeps me pretty busy. so, needless to say i haven't lost the baby weight yet and my daughter is 9 months already. I pretty much only have 10lbs to lose to finally be able to fit back into my pre baby pants which right now is my main goal. I have lost the 25lbs in the past so i know i can do it but i need some accountablity on my eating habits. Hopefully this group will keep me motivated to follow through on my weight loss goals .0

Good Morning Beauties!!!
Drank alot of water yesterday and was able to go walking with my sweetie again. Good day!!
Did the biggest loser boot camp level 1 this morning.
Goal for today :
Watch sugars!!!
Eat more vegatables.
Hope everyone has a healthy happy day!!!0 -
Hey lobster888! So what is the biggest loser boot camp? Sounds like you had a good day! Last night was this bbq I had to attend but I loaded up on salad and nixed the bun and ate one sausage cut up in slices instead... it lasted longer than I thought so that was great
Todays lunch at work includes :lots of water, strawberries, banana, nutrigrain bar, yogurt, apple, carrots ... and a wrap mmm0 -
And just to clarify, those are the foods I will be eating from now (8 am) until 4!... not all in one sitting haha!0
-
Hey amillionmegs,
The biggest loser boot camp is a DVD that features Bob. It has three levels and you can customize it. I can customize it to the time I have (30 mins to 60 mins.) I like it but like The 30 day shred better. I am just switching it up until my power 90 comes it. Yeah
Good choices for food today !!!!
Thank you for starting this - I really needed motivation for those pesty 10 pounds !!!
Also really good choices for the BBQ those can be a challenge!0 -
Thanks, you too! I know, I only want to lose 10-15 lbs total and I'm finding it so hard to do.. I figured having a group of people aiming for the same weight loss goal at around the same time would be the push I needed! I'm So happy to have people like yourself join me! woohoo beach beauties!0

TGIF Beach Beauties,
Three day weekend for me - yeah!!!!
Had a great step class last night and good run this morning. (I only walked three minutes out of a 35min run - now I have to just get faster. )
Goal for today:
Fridays is always office meeting lunch and we order out.- My goal is to make the healthy choice - it's not always easy from some places they order from. I have a small salad as a back up plan!
Hope everyone is doing good and has a great and healthy day!!!!0
