So hi everyone just found this 30 day squat challenge and was wondering if anyone wants to join me :flowerforyou: in getting a nice firm booty starting the first of march. Open to anyone . It goes like this :
START DATE: MARCH 1st
Day 1-50 squats
Day 2-55 squats
Day 3-60 squats
Day 4-Rest
Day 5-70 squats
Day 6-75 squats
Day 7-80 squats
Day 8-Rest
Day 9-100 squats
Day 10-105 squats
Day 11-110 squats
Day 12-Rest
Day 13-130 squats
Day 14-135 squats
Day 15- 140 squats
Day 16-Rest
Day 17-150 squats
Day 18- 155 squats
Day 19- 160 squats
Day 20-Rest
Day 21- 180 squats
Day 22- 185 squats
Day 23- 190 squats
Day 24-Rest
Day 25- 220 squats
Day 26- 225 squats
Day 27- 230 squats
Day 28-Rest
Day 29- 240 squats
Day 30- 250 squats

What is the purpose of doing so many and doing them 3 days in a row. Makes more sense and is better for your muscles to do fewer w/weights every other day.
I know it sounds good to do so many and increase them but it isn't the best way. Good luck, though.0 -

I've done this before and noticed a HUGE boost in my balance issues from my stronger thighs and lower back, etc. I am in!

Sure you can! I've done them at my highest weight 320#, and I'm 6"1'.
But you want to do a CORRECT squat.
You want to practice good form from the very beginning, so perhaps searching out a video, maybe on YouTube or Men'sHealth, I've seen them both places. Or perhaps bodybuilding dot com ? Regardless, do your research before you start.
And you'll want to start at a level commensurate with your current ability.
I'll join the challenge, but I'm not starting at 50-anything-close, lol.
I've been on the bench for 4 months due to a shoulder injury, but there's nothing (much) shoulder involvement in doing squats!
I'll be starting with a chair for support, probably more like 10, 2 reps of 5. With lots of gasping between reps. :-)0
