    Just a quick updateI just bought two pairs of size eight jeans for inspiration. Usually, I am afriad to buy them b/c I think "what if I fail", "this could be a waste of money", etc. but this time, I am determined. I hope to fit into them by my birthday (september 24th), which gives me a little under four moths to go froma sie 14/12 to 6/8. I think...no scratch that...I know I can do it...and if take a little longer than my birthday fine, it can be part of my halloween or thanksgiving outfit. I have stopped snacking aimlessly inbetween meals, and plan to never do it again. I have finally realied, nothing, truly nothing, tastes as good as being thin feels.

    cnbethea- no worries! i soooo appreciate your concern! I have done SB before, and I never put back on the weight. I am very good about only eating good carbs, it is just that I tend to eat too much of them. I have lost 50 pounds with this diet and a similar one and haven't gained back more than 10 pounds...and that was from bad carbs, being on the road all the time, and unable to excercise as vigorously as usual...but I lost it once I returned to eating my normal good carbs. But, I am also planning on making a "good carb only" diet a way of living. I am not saying I won't eat breads, pastas, and rice, but I am only going to eat the healthy, whole grain tpes, and only in moderation. Thanks for pointing that out! It made me reaffirm my committment to making this a lifestyle change, and not just another diet. Please let me know what you think! I am totally welcome to critiques and advice...as long as I am losing weight and getting fitter, it's all good : )

    I have some motivational size 6's in my closet I am going to get in before the summer is out that is my goal!!! I have had them since last mother's day!! I am finally in high gear to lose this weight and determine to wear them!!

    Checking in to say I am down 5 pounds total. I did cheat some this weekend but that was ok too. Didn't go overboard, just didn't keep track of everything either. However, I will add that I didn't over indulge as well. This is great.

    Just have to say I LOVE THIS THREAD! Just before joining I rid myself of all physical excuses I had for not reaching my goals, and reading everybodys stories here has taken away all of my mental excuses as well. I've been forced to own up to the fact that there is no reason in the world for me not to be able to reach my goals, and with that in mind I have been hammering through my workouts and giving the fat in my body a serious eviction notice. On sat morning I was 125.6lbs and this morning despite having had a buffet banquet sat night and a buffet brunch sunday morning I weighed in at 124.8lbs + well hydrated :) I was really worried the banquet + buffets were going to be my undoing, but I just loaded up on salmon + salad at dinner and then shared the desserts with my sisters so I got to try little bites of everything without having to either eat 4pcs of cake or waste heaps (and there are starving children out there so I never waste food lightly) After the banquet the cocktails and tequila shots were flowing freely and the dance floor was packed till 3am so at 8am when I woke up I was feeling non to brilliant. My sisters were shocked and amazed to see me get up and put on my running shoes. I walked out the door doubled over with a throbbing headached and started running... an hr later I returned rejuvinated, invigorated and thank god hangover free! Running had cured me and set me up for having to survive another buffet that morning. Buffet + hangover = whole lotta toast + bacon. Buffet + hangover - running = whole lotta fruit and only a little bacon. Nadine: +2pts Fat: 0. Winning!

    nadine - i enjoyed reading your post and think that is excellent committment to get up and get your running shoes on especially with a hangover!! I had planned to do a run on saturday evening after i had been to the gym, but then got invited out to dinner. so the run had to be missed, got the gym in - so was pleased.

    great weight losses for everybody so far, keep it up

    i have my weigh in tomorrow so will know whether i have lost, i am hoping i have as i did loads of exercise last week and ate healthy, but i will just wait and see, i wont let it get me down if nothing happens!!

    Hi everyone, glad to see your all doing just great on the food/exercise front and more importantly the weight losses, your all doing fantastic............well I went over on calories friday & saturday and not much exercise but I made up for that yesterday and today so I am back on track now :-) Drinking my water allowance and feeling much better. Had a very busy day in work today but managed to do a half hour walk around the block, and run up the stairs a couple of times haha, I darnt run down them, I would break my neck lol and that would not be good!! Well I got my weigh in on Weds and am feeling a little nervous to say the least :-(

    Just did the Insanity Fit Test. Did pretty good I think. I weigh in tomorrow but I'm not expecting a loss really due to that pesky mother nature, but it's okay. I feel better now just getting the test over with, and I managed to put together my first week of meals from the nutrition guide so I can stick pretty tight with the recommended plan. I'm staying positive and hoping for a better week. Hope you all are doing well with your goals.

    Great job road chic! I have done a few of those workouts, but I just dread them. I don't think I could stick with the Insanity program!

    Had a great workout and eating day yesterday, and on track for another one today! I picked up Sonic for my hubby for lunch, and I was STARVING. I passed it up though, and came home and made myself a healthy sandwich :)

    I want to join!! I just joined the website today! My goal for the month of June is 10 pounds. I'm thinking that is realistic since the first few pounds will be water weight!

    Oh and I think another personal goal is to quit drinking sodas altogether. I'm 4 days in so far!

    i had a big smile when i went on scales this morning :happy: :happy: i was so happy!! i have lost 4.2pounds this week, this is my biggest loss so far, maybe i need to reassess my june target, will see what weight loss is next week then re-evaluate.

    i had a big smile when i went on scales this morning :happy: :happy: i was so happy!! i have lost 4.2pounds this week, this is my biggest loss so far, maybe i need to reassess my june target, will see what weight loss is next week then re-evaluate.
