Four extra large eggs (two whole, two whites)
Wholly Guacamole 100 calories pack
4 tbsp salsa
Cooked in ghee or coconut oil.
Generally about 450 calories and it easily keeps me satiated until lunchtime.
I might vary the spices or add some veggies to the eggs, but his is my breakfast every day.0 -
Oatmeal with blueberries.0

During the weekdays i have a couple of go too's, I eat something high in potein (scrambled egg whites, hard boiled eggs, greek yoghurt etc.) a side fruit always, and either a skim milk cheese string, laughing cow wedge, or light babybel mini.
On the weekends I love making egg white frittata's. I sautee some onions and garlic, then toss in some veggies - mushrooms, peppers, black olives and spinich are good. Sometimes add some turkey bacon or sausage, ham, whatever. pour eggwhites over it all and top with light cheese, and spice it depending on my ingredients. put a lid on it and leave it on med-low for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are firm on top. Use a spatuala to cut into wedges like a pie. It is very versitle and you can get quite creative with it. Also really low cal.
For an on the go version you can put the whole mixture into a muffin tin, bake it in the oven until cooked through and freeze the frittata pucks, reheating in the microwave as you need them.0 -
I struggle with breakfast because I haven't seemed to get it "just right" yet, but here are some I've had lately...
small toasted bagel w/cream cheese OR carrot bran muffin and a banana
3 hard boiled eggs
steel cut oats with a tbsp of brown sugar
cheesy scrambled eggs (2) and a couple pieces of bacon rolled in a tortilla (also good with tomato in the eggs)
smoothie of vanilla yogurt, frozen berries and/or banana, and a little of whatever juice I have available (usually OJ or pineapple)
wheat toast with peanut butter and honey
Today I tried sliced ham and cheese melted on a Flatout. I think it would be better with a different cheese and toasted instead of warmed in the microwave. I'll try again tomorrow!0 -
Eggs with 2 slices of deli ham
Quest bar
Whole grain bagel with low fat cream cheese (and smoked salmon if I have some)
Going to have to read this thread, breakfast is always rushed though.0 -
I wake up at 5:45 am to get to my office by 7 am so I go for something quick and easy. Protein shake or a protein bar, greek yogurt, fruit, or oatmeal (not tthe instant packaged kind). single item or combination - depending upon how hungry I am and whether or not I have early morning meetings.0

My go to breakfast smoothie is one that I add either frozen berries or a banana, or mango if I have it with carnation breakfast essentials (fruit varies, depending on the flavor of the powder I guess), plain coconut milk, spinach and sometimes chia seeds, bee pollen or hemp hearts. If it's way too thick I'll just add a little water. I like the variety of flavors of the carnation breakfast essentials. it helps keep me from getting bored.0

-cereal, usually Honey Bunches of Oats or Special K with skim or almond milk.
-whole wheat toast with an avocado smeared on with salt and pepper
-chocolate protein shake with 8 oz skim milk and a frozen banana mixed in
-multigrain waffles with sugar free syrup and turkey bacon

Usually cereal, and depending on if I'm cold or not, a serving of oatmeal with a cut up apple or peach. If I'm not looking for warmth, 1/2 cup sunrise mesa cereal with a splash of milk and a handful of berries.0

Over easy egg on toasted Dave's killer bread (21 whole grains) I like to dip the bread in the yolk, yum! Oh, and a non fat latte with 1tbsp of coffee syrup. Can't quite knock the lattes :P0
-
Some kind of hot cereal (either oatmeal or whole wheat farina) with a tablespoon of peanut butter and some cinnamon and honey. Soooo yummy.0
-
Poptart and a piece of fruit.0

Most days, I eat 2 eggs sunny side up, with 2 slices of veggie bacon and 4 oz of either veggie juice or orange juice, and at least one cup of coffee with soy creamer (or fat free half and half) and 1 Tbsp agave nectar.
If I'm in a hurry, a protein shake or a protein bar, plus coffee and water.
Baked oatmeal is also a frequent feature in our house, as is regular oatmeal done overnight in the crockpot. If we bake it, we bake in fruit (usually apples) and applesauce. If we do regular oatmeal, I eat it with a little soy or almond milk and a dash of maple syrup. I usually also have coffee and either orange or veggie juice with it.
I sometimes sub out the coffee and have chai tea instead.0 -
Red River hot cereal, quite filling but not many cals0

Toasted Alvarado bread (very dense)

I have a desk job and get up at 4:30 already to get my workouts in so I have to have something ready to go. I like to make a quiche on sundays and cut in servings and eat at my desk. I can make one quiche and it lasts for 8 days.
Right now it's spinach and sausage.0 -
I have a fruit and yogurt smoothie.
1 container Dannon light&fit Greek vanilla yogurt
1/2c strawberries
1/2c raspberries
1 packet splenda
1/4c Mott's for Tots reduced sugar apple juice
3 ice cubes
throw it in a blender and away I go... plus I will have either a special k protein bar or a package of special k pastry crisps.
On the weekends I will have 2 scrambled eggs with 2 slices of deli style ham and reduced fat cheese, and fresh fruit with a piece of 12 grain toast.... typically I get about half of that because my baby girl will nom on it too0 -
Green Smoothie or Protein Shake. I never was a breakfast eater so this is the hardest part, making myself eat in the morning.0
-
Lately it's been Pho.0
-
I usually juice my breakfast or do this:
Melt a banana in the microwave and make oatmeal with cereal oats and almond milk with a teaspoon of almond butter at the end. The banana is sweet with no added sugar. Its good.0 -
light soy milk with 1 scoop of promasil protein powder, 1 scoop of GNC women's ultra mega active and occasionally 2 tbsps of either Pb2 or better 'n peanut butter plus a fruit (banana) or a plain greek yogurt
my favorite though is a piece of whole grain bread with 2 tbsps of bettern 'n peanut butter and sliced banana with a pure protein shake (chocolate of course!)0
