5'10'', 185. Started at 210 eating about 1400-1600, plateaued and then upped to 1700, started slowing down again and now eating 1900 and still losing. I workout 5-6 days a week, plus i teach swim lessons so I'm fairly active anyway.
ETA: Those calories counts are what I NET. I usually consume more around 2300-2400 right now.0 -
im 5" 1 and weigh 95 pounds, eat between 700- 1000 a day0

I am 5'8", 90ish kg..
My Net calorie intake is currently 1550, I workout a fair bit.. Cardio 2 days (300 - 500cals), Weights 2 days (500 cals) and mountain bike 1 day minimum per weekend (1000 - 2000 cals per ride)
I eat 1500 - 2000 cals per day (except Friday when we have Burger King for dinner - closer to 2300 - 2500 cals, 10 + year habit)
I am currently losing around 1 pound per week (started at 101.7kg).. I am in this for the long run, hence my refusal to restrict the types of food I eat, as I feel that would make the life style change both unsustainable and unbearable!0 -
I've been at 1200/day for just over a year and have lost 48 lbs. I've been with MFP since mid-November. I'm 68 yrs old and am fairly consistent doing 3-5 hrs of cardio/interval at the Y each week, plus some treadmill and mall-walking on Sundays. I do not normally eat back my exercise calories. I have not had any plateaus to speak of the past year, a first for me. I attribute this to the incorporation of regular, consistent exercise into my weight-loss routine. I am close to my goal. Good luck on your journey!0

On non work out days, I eat around 1500.
On days when I work out heavily I eat around 1800-2000
On lighter work out days I'm between 1600-1700.
It's been working for me. I've lost 16 lbs since being on MFP and am down from a size 22 to size 180 -
5'8"/ 189/ 1700 - 1900 daily.0

Well I'm much taller/bigger, but. 1900/day.
5'8" , 240lbs.
I'm also doing heavy workouts to compensate, though.
I def plateaued at one point, when eating only about 1500 calories a day,
& with moderate exercise.
Upping the calories does work,
if you can figure out the math.0 -
5'3", 149 lbs - MFP put me at 1380 calories a day plus I eat back whatever exercise calories I have (usually 180-200 cals a day).0

I am 5'2 and 162lbs, ive lost 7lbs by not drinking pop anymore and MFP says I should eat 1200 a day but my personal trainer says thats not enough if I want to lose 20lbs in 2 months ( or sooner) HELP! how much should I eat??0

I have my goal set to 1850, but I vary from 1650-2000 depending on how hungry I am that day. I don't eat back exercise calories, but if I've had a very active day, I'll eat more if I'm hungry. I lift heavy 3x a week and do a mix of cardio/walking/HIIT a few times a week. I'm 5'5", 145-150 lbs, about 24% BF. I'm not aiming for a number on the scale; just want to get stronger and cut a little more fat.0

5'8"/170 pounds and I eat 1800-2000 a day to lose. I stalled out for over two months when I tried to drop my calories below 1400.0

I'm 5'1, 123 pounds currently, workout about 3 times a week. MFP calories set itself up at 1270, I try to stay around there however if I workout, I try to eat more. My goal is anywhere between 1200 - 1400 calories a day. I just try not to go over 1400. I have lost either weight every week or inches every week doing this I hope that helps.0

5'5'' 180lbs
I eat about 1400Kcal/die, 1700 in workout days.
Few years ago i followed a diet by a nutritionist who gave me a 1250/1300Kcal diet plan.
I lost about 30lbs in 6 months but as soon as i began to workout i wasn't able to follow this plan anymore (i always felt hungry), so i gained almost all the weight i lost -.-0 -
I'm so jealous of you all.
I'm 5'5, and I eat at or under 1200. Simply because I can't lose weight when I eat more than that. In fact, I usually gain. I do work out tho...0 -

can't your personal trainer say how much you should eat if he can also say you won't lose weight quickly when eating at 1200?0 -
I go to the gym at least 3 times a week, I try to go 5 times, should I bump up my calorie intake to 1400 on workout days, instead of 1200? I just started MFP last wednesday.0

He said i should eat 1800 but that seems like so much food to me, I have been eating 1200 cal for a week now, and since its healthy food, I can eat 5 times a day and feel full.0
