I'm almost there. No surgery. Just changes in diet and exercise. I started working on this on memorial day 2011. I started out just going for walks and eating healthier. I kept adjusting my diet and exercise routine which has included intervals, weightlifting, cardio, etc. At the moment I don't have a gym membership so I've just been doing at least an hour of cardio every single night (elliptical and/or bike at home) and cutting sugar and carbs. Since December 2012, I've been losing 5.4 pounds per month on average so I'm hoping to hit the 100 pounds lost mark by the end of this month.

edit: I just saw that suzic73 posted above me and I wanted to add that she's awesome!

I love this post! I am going to lose 100 pounds too. I started at 265 and I'm down 13 pounds so far. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed but seeing so many successful people reinforces my motivation. My mini goal is to have 50 pounds gone by my birthday on September 10. Congratulations to all who have accomplished so much! I can't wait to join y'all in success!

Ive done it. 100 lost. I fluctuate up and down by a few pounds now, since Ive taken up strength training and changed my diet.

I was on the Medifast diet for about 7 months. Did about 3 hours of uphill hiking every weekend. That was pretty much it.

Spent a month or two trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my diet after stopping medifast. I have since settled on low carb (100g) and high fat/protein and increased my calories to a bit under my maintenance calories. Ive switched from cardio (hiking) to strength training three times a week as well. So my weight has been going up as I gain back all that muscle I lost.
