While working out do you think about...

Usually some variation of "Look at me, I am doing it! Wow my random body part hurts. I wonder if I injured it? I am going to google that later. My Spotify playlist really sucks. I should take up jogging! I can get up early and jog around the neighborhood. Yea that is a horrible idea. GOOD LORD HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE ON THIS THING?!".
If its Zumba or another class excercise, I throw in a "crap, why do they put mirrors on the walls in places like this".0 -
Daydream, think about you know what, give myself major props for working out, watch other people, and it starts all over again. I am always thinking about something.0
-
Mostly my ex. And how hot I'm going to be-- he's going to regret losing me0
-
not dieing.
^^^^^^^^^THIS SLAYED ME. SLAYED ME.
Yes, I also think about not being crushed under the weights I lift.
I think about the music I am running too.
I think about how hot I am gonna look if I can just do one more set of 10.
Chocolate. Only thing I really miss from the past. lol0 -
I generally think about whether or not what I'm doing will help me if I'm ever attacked by zombies.0

OMG am I really up at 4am.
I hope my big butt jumping around doesn’t wake the baby up
WAIT! Is the baby breathing? ….I should stop and poke her to be sure …. Nope she moved im good.
Did she move? or was I seeing things? Screw it I’m checking on her.
Yeah … that’s what having a 9 week old sounds like :noway:0 -
1. Work - No
2. Family - Rarely
3. Counting laps/reps - Sometimes
4. Sex - No
5. Your new body - Sometimes
Currently I am doing Turbo Fire, mountian biking and calisthenics. With Turbo Fire I mostly think about remembering and keeping up with the routine and breathing. With mountain biking I mostly think about how bad my legs are burning and how not to wreck and kill myself (very new to this). I count reps with calisthenics.0 -
Looking hot for my next vacation (the Keys then VEGAS)0

If I'm doing strength training, I'm pretty much focused on form and counting reps. During rest periods, I'm thinking "Am I seriously the only girl in the free weight area? I hate that I'm the only girl in the free weight area."
If I'm doing cardio, I usually read on my tablet, so I get engrossed in the story. But if I'm doing intervals, then I'm all "OMG, do NOT let me fly off the back of this treadmill and faceplant. How much longer? OK, only one more minute......I can make it."0 -
not dieing.
I now that feeling!
Also... "please don't puke again!"0 -
I honestly try hard to not think about anything, it interferes with geting my mindset for the exercise especially if the thought is bad or depressing in some way.0
-
6) is it over yet?
Agreed.0 -
Generally I kinda don't focus on much except whatever song I'm listening to.0
-
Cardio? 2-4, along with whatever song is playing on the iPod.
Lifting? "Head up chest out elbows in arms straight head up knees aligned don't lean forward pull press bend head up dammit" more or less. And then 2-4 with a side of "how can I avoid my next set?" during rests.0 -
I think "Why can't I manage to do as well with my other goals as I have with losing weight?" and then try thinking up ways to change that.0

my humps, my humps, my humps. my lovely lady lumps0

My mind races all day, every day. When I work out, it stops. It is the only hour of the day that I am not thinking of...anything.

I have a mantra: lean, fit, flexible, strong.
Of course my mind departs to wander unknown paths, but as soon as I realize it's happening, I go back to my mantra.0 -
My friends have told me I am odd as I work out fractions e.g. At 0.5km I am at 1/10th of my run, etc and I do that constantly throughout and once over half way I count how many fractions left e.g at 4km I think I have only 2/10ths left (or 1/5th) etc
Is that strange?0 -
I usually think about what a bad *kitten* i am, how strong i am, how great i am going to feel afterwards, what fun social plans i have on the horizon and what cute outfits i am going to wear and how great i am going to look in said cute outfits. LOL
^^ love this^^
thinks some of the same things if i am honest whilst working out, also trying not to die or fall off any machine, find myself thinking about my friends too.0 -
Just giggling at all the thinking people are doing. I run to not think... I think about my form, my pace, my route, my run... When working with a DVD or lifting weights, I think about form, intensity, and quality of the workout. I push hard, guess I don't have time to let me mind wander. It's the only time of day I'm not forced to "think".0
-
None of the above?
I think about performing each rep to the best of my ability.
This. Though if I'm doing cardio I try to run on grass or something varied so I have to focus on stepping.
I also like to think about how I'm a man and built for this kind of stuff. My body is a machine, and I definitely can continue running.0 -
My thoughts vary day to day. Our machines are LifeFitness and when I am wanting to stop I look at it and tell myself, over and over again, "Life Fitness....Fitness for Life". I gaze around at others, watch my calories burned wrack up, watch the miles add up, enjoy the eye candy when present, idolize beautiful female bodies, think about my to do list for the day.....I could go on and on and on. The mind is a powerful thing!0

my awesome music0
-
My plans for the weekend, the dress I want to wear for my birthday, going to grad school, finding a new job, my hot professor, my hot Zumba instructor, or I look around class (not in a pervy way) and see girls whose bodies I wish I had.0
-
All sorts of random stuff0
-
Maybe a little...but not to me. Anyway, I think you are very pretty.0

First 1/2 mile: This is great. Sun is shining, birds are chirping....dangit Pepper stop jumping up on me I am not a cow (she is a herding breed)!
Second 1/2 mile: God this sucks. Why did I ever start doing this?
Second mile: Woot, doing good! Dangit! Buster, Pepper stop wrestling! Stupid pups...oh look, bird!
Third mile: Almost done, truck is right there. Yay, water!
Forth mile (walking now as still building mileage): MMM...aqua. Yum. Oh look! Bird!
Fifth mile: Darnit Pepper! Buster! Stop it! I am all muddy and wet now. Grr...here...go get the stick.
Sixth mile: Yay, done. Now to go home, get a nice bath. Oh, look bird!0
