Eurgh, why are there so many annoying people coming on here to say 300 cals is a snack and not a meal?
I have just finished my first 7 days of counting calories, or ever taking a diet seriously in my 47 years, and am really surprised how many quite satisfying things I can out together for 300-400 calories.
Totally agree, there are some lovely meals you can make for very low cal, that's why I'm annoyed at all the people coming on here to be negative!0 -
2 eggs
1 banana
mash banana, mix eggs in & cook like a pancake. 247cals & will fill you up till your next meal.
Made this for breakfast this morning. Best thing ever,.0 -
Right now my favorite lunch meal is:
375 calories, 25 grams of protein, 9 grams of fiber, 12 grams of fat, 45 carbs, 779 sodium
Whole grain english muffin sandwich with:
2 slices of granny smith apple
1 oz chevre creamy goat cheese
6 spinach leaves
2-4 slices of low sodium turkey breast
1 tsp dijon mustard
served with a side of:
1/3 cup halved strawberries
1/4 cup of cantaloupe
1/4 cup edamame cooked in a half a tbsp of butter
You can change out a few of the items to make it less calorie dense, but this meal packs a wallop of protein and fiber for really very few calories.

probably a swai fillet with a mess of sauteed rainbow chard with balsamic vinegar and either some bulgar, a sweet potato or some polenta.0

Not really if you eat more small meals0 -
2 English Muffin Pizzas 316 calories give or take. Just 2 english muffins cut in half, prego, and cheese. It's more or less calories depending on what kind of cheese and which english muffins you use.0

2 egg whites, spinach, and swiss cheese on a 100-calorie English Muffin0

My breakfast this morning: ground flaxseed cooked like oatmeal and topped with peanut butter. I topped it with 2 tbsps, but you can cut down the calories, obviously, by cutting back the peanut butter. I am still stuffed right now and it's been 3 hours since I ate it.
1/4 cup of ground flax mixed with 1/2 cup of boiling water. Stir it until it thickens up. Add peanut butter and stir. Top with 1/4 tsp of cinnamon.
With 2 tbsps of peanut butter like I had it this morning, it was 340 calories. Also, flaxseed has zero effective carbs, which is great for keeping my blood sugar stable. Carb spikes first thing in the morning cause me ravenous appetite.0 -

veggie soups with sauted onions in them, homemade. Take a broccoli, cauliflower, some zucchini, carrot all chopped, and use some base of beef or chicken boullion. Also, any beans such as lentils, navy , black beans are really nice in them and filling.0

Morningstar blackbean burger, chopped up, thrown into chopped lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, jalapenos, onions, bellpepper, sour cream, and a little cheese on top0
