Hello everyone. I'm brand new here. I think this group is a great way to get started so.....I'm In! I want to lose 13 lbs this month. This may be ambitious but as my first month, and a hot one at that, I think it's achievable. I'd also like to be 25* something for the first time in years! So 259 sounds just fine.

First - congrats to all losers for July!
Second, thanks for the support, I am glad to be part of this group.
I have decided to embrace no weight gain, especially over the holiday weekend. I tend to lose in chunks, 2 - 5 pounds at a time. I am hoping that will still be the case. I am definitely losing inches so it feels good to have loose clothes.

Congrats to our losers so far this month! And our maintainers, and even our gainers! Even though the scale doesn't always do what we like, part of our success is in making the decision to do better, even when we have a bad day or a bad week. We're all still here, so that's our biggest success!

I weighed in this morning, and I am so excited to report that I lost the full 4 pounds that I had gained last week, plus another two!!. I'm pretty excited, as this puts me into the 140's!!! YAY!!!!! And it also puts me at only 8.8 pounds away from my overall goal!! If I can do a pound a week I will be there in 9 weeks! I really needed this today, as I was having a really rough week. Thanks to all of you for your comments
My biggest problem still looms over me unfortunately...I seem to have reinjured my hernia site post surgery (after being cleared to return to full workouts). It has me nervous about working out and it is painful to carry the baby again. *sigh*

Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful I haven't gained, just been working very hard :ohwell: ah well... what can we do, right? just keep eating well and exercising hard and it'll come off eventually...

This week has been the best week I have had in months in 5 days I have worked out over 400 mins and I am totally stoked. It has been a while since I have been this motivated I am totally feeling on top of the world looking foward to weighing Monday and kust in case the scale don't reflect my success I am going to continue to push foward I feel to good to let the scale stop me!!

I certainly know what you mean I am so glad that you maintained instead of gaining and you also maintained a level head to keep pushing foward good for you!!! I am very nervous about facing the scale on monday but I plan on doing the same in case the scale don't show up for me I will keep pushing foward I know the inches are dropping and my energy level is up so we have other ways to measure our success other than the scale with a mind of it's own!!! Keep staying strong!!0 -

Hey guys. I just had the most awesome salad with chicken. It was both light and filling. Yum! I was actually planning on doing worse this weekend because Saturday was my husband's birthday and I had a company baseball game to go to. Even though we went to breakfast (hubby had to work that night), I really wanted nachos with jalapenos at the game. Well, I never got to have them. Aww/Yay! Sooo, I guess I did pretty good. Not sure how my Thursday weigh in will go with TOM. I'll just do my best.

Alright guys talk about a blow that can totally knock the wind out of my sail I stepped on the scale after 550 mins of working out and I was down 0.8 all I can say is really that's it ok so the plan for this week is to really buckle down on my food this time plus anothe great workout week is on the way. cnbethea - wow you're workin out like crazy! Are you doing p90x?? I know that "do your best" line all too well... not doing the full program currently, but do still squeeze in the ab ripper every 2-3 days. Tony Horton is crazy, but what a workout!
potentially not eatting ENOUGH? that can be just as bad... I actually increased my daily calorie intake about 3 months ago, around the same time when I shed off 10lbs. Also increased daily protein intake. Might help if you're burning that many calories with weight training involved...
