It was ONE BITE! Are you going to give up on everything because you took one bite of "forbidden fruit?" I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous.
Your body needs carbs. A carb free diet is not healthy. There are simple carbs and complex carbs. You should be consuming at least complex carbs from whole grain foods, fruits and vegetables. If you consume the right balance of all things you will be less tempted to "cheat" and take a bite of your daughter's pancakes in the first place. Deprivation is never a good way to diet because it's not sustainable.0 -
This thread has made me want pancakes, dammit.0
-
Don't beat yourself up, you are obviously doing well with 33 pounds down.
Also not all carbs are bad. Your body needs them in fact! You just have to pick healthy ones i.e. complex v.s. processed/empty. Make pancakes but make them out of whole wheat flour instead of white.0 -
Who gives a crab if you eat a carb......you do realize carbs are a part of normal diets....0

My first reaction was, "She can't be f******g serious..." But then I read some comments & she could be kidding. Idk.

*peeks in* You still here?0

Its ok, we all mess up. But the good thing is, we can start right back where we left off. ive messed for a couple of weeks, but have finally got started back. It sounds like you're doing great anyway!!! Keep up the Good Work!!!!0
-
Moderation !!!! Have a dang pancake once in a while. Not every day of course but you'll drive yourself crazy if you're deprived 100%
Or you could just give up and call yourself a failure...............I'm fine with whatever you decide lol0 -
Don't beat yourself up & certainly don't give up. Even though low carb diets really help people drop the pounds, being too carb restrictive can be almost unrealistic for most of the population. So keep up the good habits you've established, but allow yourself to have a pancake every now & then. It's only when we're having pancakes, donuts, sugary cereal, bagels every day for breakfast that we are truly hurting ourselves.
And congrats on the 33 pounds you've lost so far, that's a great accomplishment!0 -
A "Bite" of a pancake ?!? Man those 25 calories are going to be a PAIN to get off. Sucks to be you dude0

Someone needs a cheat meal worked in once a week. :-)0
-
Don't worry about a bite of a pancake I have a massive cheat meal every Saturday and it hasn't done my weight loss any harm, remember its a long road you are travelling with many bumps along the way and the occasional wrong turn but if you stick at it you will reach your goal0
-
Please don't give up. We all do the same thing. It happens. Just move forward from there and keep trying to eat better but a bite or 2 of something not so good for you isn't going to matter in the long run as long as you don't do it all the time.0
-
If you couldn't do it, you would not have lost 33 pounds already. You can do it.0

I hear you buddy. I was having a serving of cashews (50 pieces) and at 49 I ended up eating a whole cashew which counted as 2, therefore putting me at 51 pieces. How the f am I supposed to log that gluttony? I typed it in and MFP just said "In 5 weeks you will have a coronary." So screw it. Bring on the bacon fat milkshakes and make these 5 weeks count!0

I am a complete and total failure. I have given into temptation. I ate a bite off of my daughter’s pancakes. She was done and i just could not resist. I just don't have what it takes to do this. How can i possibly expect to lose weight when i don't have the strength to say no to a carb covered in sugar and fat? I will never be able to do anything right. Carbs for crying out loud, flipping carbs, i know better. I have been carb free for 3 months and now this. I am a complete and total failure. I shall go now and suffer the wrath of destruction that must become of someone like me.0

What is the BIG Deal? Better a bite than a stack. It isn't like you went and whipped yourself up a batch after that. Move forward and enjoy the bite.0
-
Your profile says you have a healthy relationship with food. Unless you are lying or just messing around, I don't think you are giving up. Besides, a little carb is not a huge deal. You already lost 30+ lbs, so not like you don't know how to jump back to how it's done. With that said, hope you are having a great Friday!0

are people seriously not getting the joke here? lol
This^^^^^^. I think it's called satire or sarcasm. Take your pick.0
