The weirdest thing I ever saw at the gym was a bunch of people minding their own business and working out.
Yeah, I really hope people aren't talking about me while i'm working out.0 -

All though i was doing a trx class on Monday and one guy turned up in jeans...if you have ever done one its kind of impossible.0 -
thee is one guy who always wears a lime green hoody ..weird..
Although this one takes the cake...I once walked in the bath room/locker room and there was this old man in his 60 but *kitten* naked facing me in all his nasty glory ..I am talking facing me as in absolutely no way to not see anything...I about dry heaved in my mouth and calmly strolled to the bathroom stall...
god that sucked...0 -
There is one older lady that come into the gym...she has curly, out of control short hair. She gets up on the treadmill and makes it go 90 to nothing...Her hair bobs up and down. She puts 90% of her weight on her arms, and her legs look like the road runner as she tries to move her feet to the treadmill. It is WAY too cute!0

I just always find it funny and sometimes really awkward when people make sex noises at the gym. It's made me very aware of any time I accidentally grunt or sigh when I'm working out. AWWKWARRD.0

I very large man came into the gym with no top on. Started grunting while bench pressing using barbie weights....He was escorted off the premises0

Why was he escorted off the premises? That seems kind of mean. Also, I'm not sure what barbie weights are.0 -

Lol there is one guy who is always like grunting and semi moaning and I just look at him and am like really bro?0 -
At my old gym, I remember this one lady who would sign up for a treadmill for double the allowed time (40 min instead of the 20 max), she would hike up the incline as high as it would go, set the pace to about 4 mph and then walk upright, hanging on to the monitor/frame like a monkey hiking (using a fraction of the energy the treadmill calculated for calories).
All the while yacking with her friend who was trying to legit work out by running intervals, sweating. When she'd get off she'd loudly proclaim how many calories she'd burned, what an awesome workout it was and how many more calories she burned than her treadmill pal. Yeah right. That's why your friend is sweaty and lean and you are puffy and didn't even break a sweat.
She caught me rolling my eyes and when she confronted me asking, "what's your GD problem?" I vaguely recall saying something like, "the frame isn't supposed to support your body on an incline. That's what leg and core muscles are for- you should try using them sometime."0 -
So entertaining, makes me really wish i had a gym to go to! I guess this way though no one can see or hear me and all my weird things I am guessing I do!0

He was asked to leave cause he was half naked and refused to clothe himself. He was lifting very very light on 2.5kg plates on a bench press (barbie weights)0 -

I was doing crunches off a swissball and I fell of it. Flat and hard on my bottom. The ball went flying out from underneath me at a speed almost faster than sound. The ball continued to roll into the weights area lol a nice man rolled it back to me lol sooooo embarrassed.0

Also as I was on the mats stretching one day, there was this average looking indian/middle eastern (i'm assuming) guy next to me who was doing the most.....'sensual' stretches I've ever seen coming from a man. I mean full on straddle, splits, back arches, 'happy baby' pose (PLEASE google this if you don't know what I'm talking about, yes he was doing this too), he was really going for it. I almost half expected him to whip out a blonde wig and stripper heels. Good for him that he wants to improve his flexibility, but I will admit it was really unexpected and funny to see it at the time.
lol! That is so funny.0 -
There was a guy who was grunting and making the funniest faces as if he was squatting 800 lbs.... Doing rotator cuff exercises. I lol'd.
This one is a bit inappropriate but oh well. It was really hot in the gym and all of the sudden the whole place started smelling like fish. Zumba class just ended.0 -

The guys who crowd the weight area and then do NOTHING but bicep curls. All curls, all the time. It is crazy. I feel bad but once I notice it I can't stop, and as one of the few (sometimes only) girls in the weights area, it gets frustrating when I need someone curling non-stop to give me a little space so I can deadlift or squat! And their form, oh my god. So much arm-swinging! Someone's going to get hurt, lol!0

Maybe not weird but very cute. My gym has in indoor track and lots of older (60 +) people like to walk laps especially in the mornings. There is this 1 couple that comes at the same time every day, they are probably older than 75 and the woman has trouble keeping her balance. Her husband regliously holds her hand throughout the entire walk. He never lets go not even once. Talk about true love! It is just so precious
Also, I love the 'weight tough guys" on the machines they put the weight really high like 150 pounds and then try to do 1 rep. When they finally do 1 rep they then get up and stretch it out and socialize for like 30 minutes before moving onto the next machine.
There is also another guy who slams the weight machines almost to the point they sound like he is going to break them.
I also really like the guys that move the weights to a higher weight than what they lifted just so the next person that sits down sees this really high weight.
I had a guy at the gym that would do the machines and yes he too would change them up higher after he was done with them. I didn't mind cause I usually was right behind him and didn't have to change them for me to work out...lol And I admit I let him know it.
The only thing I think is seriously weird in my gym is the UPS guy. This guy wears a full brown outfit socks, runners, shorts and tee. I would go in daily and he would be there...all in brown.
Funniest thing I ever did,,,I would do a warm up on the elliptical for 20 min. I never watched tv, just listened to music. Well one time there was a marathon of some show that looked interesting. I did an hour full out on the elliptical so I could watch this show. I was sweating so bad my ear buds wouldn't stay in my ears and I heard this gawd aweful animal being tortured sound. Realized it was me...staggered to the change room..and I do mean staggered.(first time I never wiped down the machine-just didn't have the strength)0
