The male glutes are attractive to females because if they are developed and strong it indicates an ability to thrust. Thrust being the main mechanism for impregnation and thus the propogation of the species.

I find it only mildly ironic that I was never impregnated by that big booty having BF but was easily impregnated by a non big booty having one.
