When the first section at the store I go to is the workout clothes!
When I make no excuses and work out even if you don't feel like it.
When I say to myself that I could eat like this for the rest of my life and be happy.0 -
When regular soda (or even diet for that matter) started tasting sickengly sweet to me.
When my family goes to a steak house for dinner and I happily order my favorite Blackened Ahi Tuna appetizer with steamed veggies on the side for my meal because its actually what I prefer. While still enjoying a bite or two of thier steaks and being completley satisfied with my dining experience.0 -
The day that I got up at 5:00 am and worked out until 6:00am. Felt terrific and it a new routine in my life. :smooched:0

I don't know if I am there yet but I love topic. Here is a mini one --- I did see someone order a 12" sub in front of me in line today and I thought, "holy, how do they eat all of that." Only months ago, I would have wanted a 12" too!
I agree...I still struggle, but am still improving in the couple weeks I have been rededicated on here. I tend to do real well with breakfasts and lunches, logging, but struggle at night.
ANYWAYS.. I think what I am most proud of is really thinking about the quantity that I am eating. As I eat smaller portions, I wonder how I could have ever inhaled what I used to just a few weeks and months ago. I really appreciate that about being healthful in this lifestyle. SLOW DOWN, SAVOR, HYDRATE. STOP.0 -
Most recently, I took only 1 bite of my daughter’s kindergarten graduation cake last night. I love me some cake!0

I don't eat IT just because it's there...I eat it if Im really craving it, and make sure its worth the calorie intake! LOL0

When they have cake day every month and I stay at my desk if I don't have enough "calories" to fit it in and I'm not sure how big the piece is.
AND
when I'm offered a glass of wine and my "calories" for the day are already met I say "no thanks!"... that's so weird! LOL0 -
This is AWESOME! I felt the same exact way when we celebrate bithdays in the office and I allow myself ONE bite of cake. I don't want to deprive myself of cake - I love it- So... The one bite thing works and also makes me know that I am REALLY changing.

1-When going to the grocery store and reading all the ingredients on the package and moving along.
2-Being asked for dinner and going to their website to see what I can fit in

I feel unbalanced if I don’t have a portion of dark, leafy greens every day. I don’t beat myself up for eating some dark chocolate and red wine once in a while. I haven’t bought beer in 5 months… and I don’t care!0

The day you work out in the morning because you know you're going out to a restaurant for a friend's birthday.
Also, the day you look at the menu of said restaurant and pick your meal ahead of time so you know exactly how many calories you need to burn on your workout.0 -
When I tell my 4 year old son that we need to run his brother to school, and he thinks that you literally mean running, in which situation he would get to ride in the jogging stroller, which he loves. But no, we took the car this morning :bigsmile:
When I got mad that I couldn't run because I had shin splints, not mad that I had a painful injury.
When MFP becomes the home screen of my web browser.
When I'm not afraid to tell someone what I weigh, even though I still have a long way to go. 237 right now!
When water is nearly the only source of liquid hydration used. (1 cup of coffee every morning, occasionally have a glass of milk, otherwise it's water and lots of it!)

When I switched from nonfat milk to 1% milk. Yes, fat in the diet is a good thing!

I love reading all these responses while nodding and thinking, "me too!"
I noticed things have really changed when I drove by a fast food restaurant and could smell the food and felt sick. I was on my way to Zumba, another lifestyle change :happy:
Finding "clean eating" recipes and noticing healthier burger options and realizing that I don't even WANT to make healthy burgers!0 -
If you use: www.loseit.com to look up restaurant food and supermarket food.... You will be amazed at what we WERE eating. Brand new lifestyle.. I am a label reading FOOL.0

when I calculate the amount of calories my husband consumes while snacking late at night instead of joining in
when I spend more time on MFP than Facebook

When your on MFP more than Facebook
When your mad you have a cold and cant workout because it makes your head pound (current crap!)
When you realize your going to be over calories, which rarely happens and try to figure out ways to squeeze a workout in.
When you like DOMS because it means progress.
When you suprise your husband saying your going to the gym and 1 1/2 hrs later he calls your phone to ask if your ok :laugh:0
