Just finished going through thread, I think I might just put some money aside now to get a gym membership. No way to get any of these amazing results at home without spending an arm and a leg >.< Seriously all you women look absolutely AMAZING :blushing:

I'm going to add some more pics of me looking mannish:

So I concede that ugly lifting face is ugly, but the lifts have to be heavy enough to work. I don't walk around with a loaded barbell.

You can clearly see how bulky heavy lifting made me [NB: "heavy" is a very relative term here. I lift what is probably very light for some of the more awesome ladies in the thread, but those weights are a huge challenge for me, to the point of failures. So let your friend know,OP, that if she is out of shape like I was, "heavy lifting" for her muscles will probably be very light in the big picture. There's basically no chance it will bulk her up. :P]

Holy *kitten* indeed! The change in 4 months is out standing; if you don't mind my asking, what did you do? Did you also change your eating habits?

    Hi everyone,
This forum has been inspiring. I have recently added weight training to my workout program and am excited to watch the transformation over the next several months. Thank you for sharing your pics. Am always looking to add people to my network to help with the motivation!

    I'm very manly.

Benching 110lbs (although the plate on the other side doesn't look a little "manly" from this angle)

The pics are just SO inspiring! Can't comment on every single one, but you all rock! I'm curious if anyone can comment on how your caloric needs and intake changed with lifting. Did you need to eat more? Are you eating clean?
    thanks!

I am looking to start lifting but don't know where to start as dumb as this sounds, what do you think for new rules of lifting for women? Thanks

Also all the women on this thread look incredible!

Well my journey has really just begun and I was going to wait to weight train until I got some initial weight off...but after seeing this I am going to start now. Probably light lifting at first though as I'm a beginner. Thanks for all the awesome pics. and motivation, you all are amazing!

Edit: I just read the post about "please don't post pics of yourself flexing because it will scare girls who don't want to get bulky" so sorry if my offensively huuuuuge muscles scare anyone away

Super cool, am very, very impressed!!

    what is your routine??

Anyone any tips for starting to lift heavy with a dodgy back?
have had sciatica/recurring bulging disc for 10ish years, have worked on my core quite a bit and lower back and abs much more stable these days, also have quite good arms for a girl. Really wanting to step it up, but do it safely.
Not afraid of a bit of pain, just no damage

At the moment am doing some of gillians dvds and have got just over half way through 100pushups a few months ago before my back had enough.

    any advice welcome
