    afternoon ladies~
well today is my day off, threw the windows open last night, how divine~ great sleeping weather except the little turkey's up the street decided to have a pool party while mom and stepdad were away. while the fresh air is nice, Homer barks at everything , and I mean everything so got very little sleep last night.
Homer was dropped off at the groomer's early and then I took my self to whole foods to mozie around.
I love that store. they had a breakfast buffet with all sorts of great looking stuff, didn't buy any of that. NOOOOOO what did I buy? 2 coconut macaroon's, that I just found out had 249 calories each.. and you know what?To damn sweet, I felt horrible afterward and wanted the taste out of my mouth.. that goes to teach me huh:blushing:
did buy some Yogi -detox tea and some hemp tattoo balm..
then went to GNC to look at the green coffee bean extract, didn't buy it, I want to talk to my Nephrologist before I get into any of that stuff. went to Walmart and bought myself the emerald 100 calorie pack natural almonds, I really like the almond walnut mixture but that is hard to find. a frame for a picture of my dad and uncle , for my uncles 80's birthday party this weekend.
I did not go to the gym or walk this morning.. my heel I can tell the prednisone is wearing off, is freakin killing me again..
I just dont know what to do? I am trying my damndest to lose weight ,and I love to walk, but it is just so very painful. and there is no way I want anyone cutting my foot open.. I cant afford to be out of work..

    Hello Ladies,
I am still over the moon happy with the group I work with now. So now it is time to focus on me. I sat down and made a plan thru September because the scale said some very nasty numbers to me this morning and I am totally done with that nonsense. So I had to start writing down a long term plan with menus and exercise specifics. That is how I lost the 35 pounds 2.5 years ago and that is how I will do it again.

I have been enjoying Ritter, enjoying the weather. He is so full of energy he runs circuits around the house. we have a small back yard so when the weather is nice we have the sliders open. he can run into the family room, up the stairs and out the dining room, jump off the deck and tear thru the yard and come back in the family room. He is so much fun to watch. Bodi just sort of stays out of his way when he gets going. then they both will play chase but at a slower pace on the same circuit. I really do love my fur boys.

    Have a wonderful day.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! I have been walking an hour a day and following the FODMAP elimination diet. So far it is working well. I have been afraid to eat fibrous foods for the last year because two of my no colon support group died from intestinal blockages. This diet has a lot of fiber but it is designed for people like me.
We recently downsized from a six bedroom home to a two bedroom apartment. Every day I spend a few hours eliminating more possessions. It is very liberating!
    Have a great day!

deedeebird :flowerforyou: I wish I had taken pictures back in Nov plus taken measurements. But my ego got in the way. I DIDN'T want to know. But I have always weighed. I did keep that number away from my husband. I was so ashamed that he weighed significantly less than I did. And his responses about women on TV is that overweight women are just not attractive. So when I weighed in at 199.8 I finally told him. I then had the courage to tell him that is was such a temporary number and after 2 days was above 200 again and it stayed that way for well over a month. Now I only have measurements form June and July. As far as pictures, everyone knows I am the one behind that camera, not in front.

:flowerforyou: Good Afternoon Ladies, Joined WW and love it. After two weeks lost 3lbs. Happy camper here. I'm sorry I'm not a social MFP blogger. I state the facts. Read your facts. But sorry I don't reply to everyone's topic/quote or situation. Just the way I am. Just sayin'. :ohwell: Glad I found you again .....had lost the thread.

I do wish everyone success in your weight goals. Doing it in a healthful and happy way. Till next time. Sweet thoughts and blessings to all:happy:

Hi everyone. Checking in early today; we are supposed to go to jazz on the green again tonight, but the weather says 60% chance of rain, so we’ll see. Meanwhile I have to take the dog to the vet and get some more blood work done. You should have seen DH getting the urine sample! He taped a plastic cup to a broom handle and followed the dog around til he pee’d. I hope the neighbors were watching! Pretty ingenious I think!

This will be short but I will try to say hi to a few of you.

Subzero: welcome aboard! I can’t imagine being ill in bed for 3 years. So glad you are able to be up and about now.

    Juanita: great victory!

Katla: we cleared the bats by calling the Humane Society LOL. They came right out even though it was on Labor day and caught as many as they could and set traps for the rest. It was a big deal I guess because of the rabies issue.

Janie: love the pig on the dreadmill as someone here calls it!

    Heather: fabulous NSV!

DeeDee: dear heavens you got BIT by a bat? Omg!!! When I worked in the ED we did not wait for the rabies test to come back…any skin to skin (or worse) contact bought you the rabies series. It’s not a big deal at all now. The worst thing is that it is purple and temporarily dyes your skin!

Lucy: enjoy the concert! Now you’ll need to go to vinoglo.com and buy the stakes to hold wine and wine glasses LOL

    Joyce: great loss!

Cheryl: glad you have come back; I’m new since you were here last and looking forward to getting to know you

Wessecg: oh my goodness how awful. I’m sending lots of prayers and healing thoughts to you and DSD. She is a lovely girl.

I’m sorry ladies…time to round up the Beagle and take him to the (old) vet…maybe he won’t be so crazy this time since that is not where his surgery was. Take care and enjoy the better weather. Meg from Omaha

:flowerforyou: This has been a big exercise day. Besides my usual dog walking and line dance class we had a two and half hour practice for our performance at the county fair. We have been practicing weekly since April and it seemed like we had so much time, now the fair is only is only a few weeks away. We’ll practice again tomorrow afternoon…….also doing the squat and plank challenges.

:brokenheart: Cheryl, I am so sorry about your daughter and her troubles. You are the perfect mom for her. I know you’ll be there for her.

:flowerforyou: DeeDee, a pink golf cart, what fun

:flowerforyou: Heather, your new necklace is beautiful….I love all the colors.

 Robin, it is so great to hear you sounding happy and at peace.

:flowerforyou: Subzeromamo, I love your positive attitude about your special dietary needs and downsizing….those are the things that make so many people absolutely crazy.

:flowerforyou: Jane, congrats to your hubby on his new job…..you two have walked through so many challenges with such a great positive spirit.

OK I officially give up trying to read all the pages I missed while on vacation. Did scan the last few pages tonight. Why can't I get myself back in the routine? Everyday I think, today is the day I'll do better but so far haven't gotten there yet.
Cheryl - so sorry for your DSD's loss. You are right she is beautiful but you can see the pain in her eyes. My prayers are with her and your family.
To all of you who are rocking it -l good for you. It is inspiring to see people realizing their dreams and to see hard work pay off.
I'm starting on my second round of meds for UTI. I was so disappointed that the first 10 days didn't clear it up.
Be Back tomorrow in a better moods.

Quick note 'cause I'm feeling pretty good right now. Did 4 miles & the arm workout with a Leslie Sansone DVD & of the 55 minutes, 20 were vigorous exercise according to my bodymedia armband. Yippee! I've been trying to figure out that point and have gotten maybe 4 - 5 minutes in my gym & other exercise DVD time before today. Finally! I thought about stopping after 2 & 3 miles, but pushed through. So worth it, now time for some more ice water!

Cheryl - welcome back! What's happened is done and over with, now to press on to the future

Cheryl (wessecg) - so so sorry about your daughter. She does look extra special. Thanks for posting the pics. I agree, you can see the pain in her eyes.

Heather - I'm with you, I prefer to make my food in advance, too. Many times I even freeze things. Have a good time with your friends!

Cheryl from IL - Sorry to say this, but it sounds to me like your daughter's mom was depressed.

Heather - what a gorgeous necklace!

KABH - Never heard of NIA technique exercises, at least never heard of them referred to that way

Did 1 hr of Bob Harper Pure Burn Super Strength DVD today. Tomorrow I'll take a deep water class.

    subzeromambo - LOVE your pic!

determined - glad to see ya back. Am happy that WW is working for you. Come back and just let us know how things are going with you. We'd love to hear it

Meg - laughed at the thought of your dh running after the dog until he peed. Thanks for the smile

Lucy - enjoy the concert, hope you go

jane - doing a happy dance for you. What wonderful news! You've been thru so much, which makes it that much sweeter. Seems like all our prayers and crossed fingers, toes, etc. worked

barbie - 2-1/2 hrs! Wow, you sure were busy. I know with all that practice, you'll be just wonderful.

Sue in TX - this round WILL work

You know, I didn't do any formal exercise while away and I've just now restarted. Today is the first day that I really feel the muscles in my butt. It's a good feeling. At least it'll be water aerobics tomorrow

    Hello all you gorgeous Ladies,:heart::flowerforyou:
Hoping everyone is doing very well. I have not had a chance to post for awhile. Been a bad week .I have chronic pain syndrome etc and fibro pain and fog. Still do not know what triggers an *episode* but at times the pain is so extreme my doctor has me come in for a shot, which works temporary but better than nothing.

Sending out good and positive prayers and thoughts   .
    Happy Logging Ladies

Cheryl – what a heartbreak! Not so long ago we were all hearing about the prom dresses, if I recall correctly. She is lovely and I’ll say some prayers for all of you.

Jodios – I have a Vitamix and love it. My sister raves about her Ninja. My Vitamix was a gift after many years of coveting one. I’m sure either is fine.

Jane Martin – how wonderful about the new job for DH!

I had a 7am dentist appointment this morning and was done by 7:45a. Rather than just going to work early I nipped down to the Y and got in 40 minutes of walking on the indoor track. Kept it slow and stayed in the air-conditioning so I didn't end up a sweaty mess before work. Tonight I walked about 3 ½ more miles after work, so it was about 6 miles today. Reminds me of training for the 3-day BC walk!!

Well, need to fix a little bit for supper and shower before relaxing and bedtime.

Good Evening, Ladies! I didn't get a chance to post this morning because the coffee just didn't kick in in time! :embarassed: I went to a cardmaking class today and then out to lunch with friends. It was wonderful fun, and we were doing all Christmas cards today so that was fun, too. We went to the casino restaurant for lunch, and I actually ordered and ate some of that nasty green stuff! Of course, the salad also had a wonderful piece of grilled salmon with it, and I will even eat the nasty greens to get the yummy fish!

The monsoon storms down here have been so unpredictable for the last few days that I have not gone anywhere near the pool. I really don't want to be in the water if one of the storms decided to pop up suddenly. I know, I am a coward. Hopefully, things will settle down soon.

Sandy- I hope you figure out how to stop having these migraines soon. Sending healing thoughts your way!

Heather- It is nice that you are having company that you are so looking forward to hosting. The chicken sounds yummy!

Jodios- I have been trying to get brave enough to try the green smoothies, but haven't made it yet. I, too, would need a better blender, so I will be looking forward to the answers.

Cheryl from Il- I am so sorry that you, your husband and daughter must suffer through this tragedy. That note will probably haunt your husband, you have been very wise in arranging for a counselor. Take care.

JaneMartin- Congratulations on the new job!!!

Take care, everyone. Have a good night.

    Pat
