    I'm a mom, and a paramedic.

My boys are 11 and 3. I adore them. I want more, but need to get the hubbs on board with that.

Paid job is private transport (because here in VA, that is where the money is)

I volunteer in Virginia Beach to satisfy that adrenalin-junky feeling. =)

Proofreader. It's really nice, and somewhat challenging. But I am not too happy about the salary at this particular publisher.

Artist as well (as you know)! And yes, I love it. Although not right now because my easel broke and I'm trying to do my charcoal on a 36X24 canvas on my computer table. And I'm almost out of medium and will have to drive to go get some more (the drive takes at least 3 hours b/c it's in the heart of Honolulu). Although it's not dealing with a stupid boss, office politics, and I wear yoga pants to work daily. So I think I've got it alright! :D

I'm a Department of Defense civilian. I love 80% of my job, and hate 20% of it--kind of like the furlough!

I'm a lawyer, doing mostly commercial litigation. I'm pretty sure it is rotting my soul, crushing my spirit and making me into the worlds most cynical bee-yotch.

    But the money's ok.

    Energy Procurement

    Love it.
  • I'm currently a women's health care nurse practitioner at a nonprofit, and I love it 85% of the time. 10% of the time I feel like hitting my head against the wall in frustration; 5% of the time I get my heart broken. I like helping people.

At the moment, part time dispatcher at an alarm company. I wouldn't say I love it, but it pays the bills....so I like the money? Even if it is 16/hours a week at $7.50/hour. I'm looking for a second job though, so hopefully I'll have more money in my pocket.

I am a vocational manager for 125 individuals with DD such as Autism, C. Palsy, MR, etc..
    I do love it.

    We need to talk!

I just took on a new job that I am positively stoked about. I have been hired as a Director of Day Services for a non-profit organization that supports adults with developmental delays. I manage two programs--a vocational center and a retirement center. The organization inherited the vocational center and needs direction to develop the program. I am a special education teacher by trade and an advocate by hobby (community projects). I have more to say but not here.

I am a high school band director. I love the kids and creating music, but I do hate how ignorant and stupid administrators are these days. It's all about sports and screw the music (music doesn't bring home trophies o.O), BUT that is the ONLY downside of my job. I love what I do!

Admin at a small business. I like dealing with clients. But I will likely go back to school in a couple years, maybe for a masters in anthro or journalism.

I work for an entity governing people in a financial profession. It's a pretty typical office job and I enjoy it, because I do different things every day and stay interested.

    Generic retail assistant.

It is what it is. No challenge, very tedious, incredibly mind-numbing.

However, only 1 more week of that and I'm moving into social work. Hope to find some fresh challenges and job satisfaction :)

I have a terrific job. I film and photograph children in a special needs school and produce a DVD for every child to take home at the end of the year - this is instead of them having a traditional paper school report. The response from the children and their families when they watch them is awesome!

Just finished my AAS in Respiratory Care & passed by Boards to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Licensed Respiratory Care Professional- did that while working with DD individuals in group homes. I just landed my first job with a hospital and finishing up my time with my DD guys. 90% of the time it is fabulous, 10% or the time behavior issues made me hate it.
