Friday's goals:
1. workout after taking my daughter to school.
2. log all the food I eat.
3. stay away from soda.
What's your 3 goals for today? They don't necessarily have to be weight loss related. Leave your goals today and check in tomorrow to see if you've met them. Then leave 3 more. It's that simple.
Thursday-
1. rest or light cardio. YES
2. no snacks/soda ALMOST! HAD POPCORN AND 1 DIET SODA.
3. cook meals for today and tomorrow. YES
4. drink tons of water. YES

Hi all! I've been MIA on the day by day thread this week but today is the start of a new month so I'M BACK and ready to set my goals. It's afternoon already so some of my goals are restropective because I was thinking about them last night...
1. training before work tomorrow - DONE!!!
2. Try to eat at least 1200 cals - I know this one might sounds silly but sometimes I try too hard to keep under my cals even when I've exercised that I eat too few.
3. Have to do a report this evening and must email it by 10pm (miserable to have to do it on a Friday).
luvbnamom - you're absolutely right! just post your goals and then come back on the next day and tell us all how you got on and set your next goals.
All you ladies on the first thread have been doing so well! I want to keep my dedication to this as much as you have all been doing! Great job!0 -
P.S. Hope you all have a great and healthy day. It's miserable and raining in London so hope you're all having some sunshine!0

Leela posted a link at the end of the last thread so slowly but surely when everyone goes into that thread they will see it and come over here and start posting!0 -
Thanks guys. I don't know what I would do without people I don't even know supporting me. Never would have thought people could not know you and be so helpful, and passionate about helping too!!!!0
-
1. Riverwalk in the AM with my friend again:) DONE
2. laundry FAIL
3. enjoy my evening with the hubby cause its our anniversary:) 4 years for us. DONE:)
SO I didn't get to the laundry because the hubby came home from work early to spend more time together:) I love him!!! I really didn't expect that to happen. He is amazing.
So for today
1. Laundry, Really need to get it done today, my daughter is almost completely out of clothes.
2. water
3. dishes, I put them off because i have to do them by hand and I really hate doing that but there isn't room in the kitchen for a dishwasher the way its set up right now.
4. Stay within calories.
I'll probably do more than that but those are the important ones to get done today.
Welcome to the Newbies:) Good luck to you all today:)0 -
Hello everyone!
Thank you Leela for starting the new thread! It's great to know that something I thought would only help me helps so many of us! Went to the doctor today and have Strep Throat. The doctor looked in my throat and literally was like "oh, that's not good." Didn't even strep test me. Said if it didn't get better to go back because it's mono. Lovely. So for today my goals are...
1. Fluids. Fluids. Fluids.
2. Get my articles to my TA by midnight (still have to find them and can barely sit at my computer for more than a few minutes at a time without feeling incredibly weak. ugh)
3. Create a rewards system for the month and/or semester to keep me doing little things like wearing my retainer at night and so forth. (Plus I can do this from my bed... lol)
Have a good day everyone!
Nicole0 -
Hi Namita, Beth and Nicole, glad you found it okay. Wasn't sure if I did it right, that's why I tried to leave a message.
Welcome to all the new people who are on board for October. If you want, you can share a little about yourself and your goals. And your name, unless you prefer to go by your screen name.
Just stopping by to bump us up and go for a quick walk around to the library with my daughter.
Have a good evening, I'll try to stop back on tonight to post my weekend goals. Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day.

1. training before work tomorrow - DONE!!!
2. Try to eat at least 1200 cals - I know this one might sounds silly but sometimes I try too hard to keep under my cals even when I've exercised that I eat too few.
3. Have to do a report this evening and must email it by 10pm (miserable to have to do it on a Friday).
So I accomplished my first two goals and have just finished the third one. It's 11.15pm so I'm a little late but at least I got there! I got a little distracted watching the Biggest Loser final that I recorded the other night. I think we're a few seasons behind you - it was the one that Danny, Rudy and Amanda were in the finale. Does anyone watch it?
Nicole how miserable to be feeling unwell. I was the same most of this week. You've go the right idea about fluids! Sending healing wishes to you!
Goals for Saturday:
1. Go to Body Combat class in the morning.
2. Keep within my cals (am going out in the evening so have to make healthy food choices).
3. Hoover!
Happy Friday!0 -
challenge for tomorrow:
1. gym by 8 am (its a saturday)
2. reduced eating all day due to fish tacos today
3. only 1 alcoholic drink at concert tomorrow, and plenty of dancing0 -
Hello everyone! Welcome fitbot!
1. Started but not gonna get it done today.
2. didn't do as good as i should have with this today
3. still a pile on the counter just really couldn't get motivated to do it
4. barely did this. I can eat nothing the rest of the night and only drink water or I'll go over.
Today was just a bad day for me. I slept in way too late, my daughter just watched tv waiting for me to get up instead of bothering me. Sometimes that is a blessing but other times, like today, I really wish she was a normal kid!! hehe I just didn't have any energy cause I slept so long. So I have really been pushing myself to get done what I've gotten done today.
Well for the weekend goals.
1. Saturday is going to be spent with my in-laws. Pulling up old flooring and putting down new. Love my mother-in-law so it will be a fun day:) (I mean this too not being sarcastic)
2. Laundry, gonna finish it this Sunday or the hubby won't have any clean work shirts.
3. Dishes will probably sit until Sunday but they will get done.
4. Go for a walk around the Riverwalk either wth the family or alone, Gotta get a workout in somewhere:)
5. Get everything ready for me to start on a Shred. I picked up the DVD for it at a garage sale for $1!!! So I'm gonna start on Monday:)
Nicole, get yourself better and make sure you get plenty of rest over the weekend. And here's hoping it isn't MONO!!!
Hope you all have a good weekend! Be back on Sunday night at the lastest:)0 -
Friday's goals:
1. workout after taking my daughter to school. YES!
2. log all the food I eat. YES!
3. stay away from soda. I BROKE DOWN AROUND 8PM..JUST ONE CAN OF DIET PEPSI
welcome fitbot, hope you can check in regularly to help stay accountable to yourself. no one is obligated to this group, only to yourself!
So for the month of October, my unspoken goals are still 100 crunches and 25 pushups daily. I upped it a little from September because I konw I can push myself to do more.
So Saturday's goals:
1. Head to the gym before the day gets hectic. try to get in atleast 4miles.
2. eat sensible. I know its the weekend, but I still need to be smart so I don't undo the progress made all week.
3. continue drinking 9 glasses of water.
4. Start thinking about what I want to pack for our trip. We don't leave until Thursday but I will procrastinate until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Sunday's goal:
1. keep eating clean, as I weigh in on Monday.
2. drink more water than I did on Saturday.
3. zumba @2:30
4. start preparing meals for the week.
Everyone have a great weekend.0 -
thanx for the welcome, im excited. accountability seems to be key... writing something down definitely makes you do it more0

1. ) Come in under my Carb goal of 60 grams and OVER my protien of 100.
2.) Get to the Hospital at lunch to see my friend in ICU/ and park farther away so I can walk on the way there.
3.) Do Circuits tonight. Brisk Walk around the block, weights, brisk walk around the block, abs, brisk walk around the block, weights, brisk walk around the block, abs.
Net Carbs Yesterday=52, Protien Yesterday + 124!!! So First Goal Met!
I did get to See my friend in ICU but did not get to leave work early enough to park really far away, but there and back would be about 10-15 minutes of walking.
I did the Circuits and it was awesome. I did them in a different order, BUT collectively it was 2.1 miles, 200 various types of crunches and 80 various types of arm weight lifing. It felt GREAT!!!
Goals for Saturday 10/02
1.) GET THIS HOUSE CLEAN AND BURN CALORIES WHILE DOING IT!!! I never would have thought how much 2 hours of cleaning can burn
2.) At my childrens naptime-TAE BO
3.) Get my booty to SAMS and get some more EAS-I am OUT.
This Thread is absolutley AMAZING and I am so glad I stumbled upon it. My name is Jess, 2 Kids, 6 yr old Diva Princess and a 2 year old Suburban Daredevil!!! Put them before my health for 6 years now. Realized my pudgies weren't going away on their own, but getting BIGGER and this time I wasn't preggo!! So now I'm losing. It's hard to find time to exercise. Wish that part was easier, but eating right should have never even been an issue!! Thanks for all the Support guys!!!!0 -
Hi everyone!
Thanks for the well wishes. I'm starting to get better-- at least my throat is starting to go back to its normal size so I'm thinking it's not mono! Yay! Now if I could only get home this weekend so I can actually get some sleep instead of listening to my neighbor DJ at 4 in the morning. Geesh. lol.
Goals for today:
1. Get some schoolwork done.
2. Rest some more.
3. Fluids. Fluids. Fluids.
I'm thinking I'll get back to more weight loss related goals Monday if things keep going this well. I'm crossing my fingers!! The only thing I wish is that I was like everyone else and didn't eat so much when I'm sick because I don't feel like it. I eat just as much if not more because I'm sooooo bored. lol. But I'm not worried about that for now since my fever probably burns some of those calories right off.
Glad you like the thread Jess and I love the description of your kids. They sound so cute.

Good evening all,
How is everyone today?
I didn't get a chance to post on here yesterday because it got a bit hectic.
1.Stay within my cals - I did but just barely
2.Try and keep this positive attitude that I have right now - no positive attitude right now
3.Try and get in at least 30 mins exercise - I did 1 hour so very pleased about this!
I haven't really set any goals for today. I guess they would be pretty much the same.
Nam14uk - wasn't the weather dreadful yesterday? It didn't stop raining all day.......
Keep up the good work everyone! x0 -
1. WATER WATER WATER
2. Walk one more time before the day is over
3. Eat within my cal numbers0 -
mission accomplished. gym fo 1.5 hours including a 5km run, only 2 glasses of wine while out (but did snack a bit upon getting home), and was under the calorie goal which is abnormal for the weekend
tomorrow's goals:
1. start on bikram yoga class
2. be under calorie goal
3. up water intake0 -
1. Eat lean and green for a week
2. do exercise0 -
Good morning everyone!
Whew it was rough yesterday. One thing is for sure. I got plenty of rest. I could barely get out of bed all day. It was probably the second worst day of this sickness which is weird because the antibiotics are working wonders on my throat... just not the rest of it yet I guess. So fluids were good, rest was good, homework not so much. I did watch HGTV alllll day though-- which means absolutely nothing until I want to buy or sell a house but I got some good ideas out of it for when I do! lol.
Goals for today. I woke up feeling better so...
1. Fluids and rest of course.
2. Laundry. Running out of clothes is no good.
3. Homework. Have to get some stuff done today since I will be playing a busy week of catch up and homecoming stuff.
Have a good day everyone!!

Well I had some extra time, so I thought I would take the liberty to address the group one by one. Thanks to Nicole, we have become a tight knit little group over the past 30 days or so. So I just want to get to know the ones that joined us for October.
Jess, excellent job on meeting your goals. I'm raising a diva too. No daredevils, not yet, maybe in the future. My daughter likes to work out with me. Denise Austin has a cute kid workout video and she will do it for about 10 minutes. We like to do things like see who can do the most jumping jacks or who can jump rope the longest. We run sprints outside, like who can run to the 3rd tree the fastest. She is very competitive and an awesome swimmer. Does your gym have day care? Maybe while the princess is at school and the daredevil is napping you can squeeze in a workout video. But it seems like you have been doing great so far. your circuits seem very effective.
Hey Erin, I like breaking my workouts up too. Just feel like I can keep burning more calories all day long when I do it that way. What other workouts do you normally do? Have you been drinking extra water lately? I know that was one of your goals.
fitbot, do you go by your screenname or by another name? What's bikram yoga? Sounds interesting. I never realized how hard yoga was until I tried it. I have terrible balance! Was it hard for you to go without dairy or coffee?
Hi Karen, your plan to eat green sounds like a great one. That's one of the things that I'd like to do too. What type of exercises do you do? which one is your favorite?
kizzy- how long is that jillian kickboxing? I didn't even know she had a kickboxing dvd. I'll have to search around for that one.
Nicole, I hope you're feeling better and the antibotics start to make more than just your throat feel better. Have your roommate do your laundry. You need to rest. What type of preparations do you have to do for homecoming? Are you guys learning a new cheer? are you part of the committee that decorates and do the planning?
Nam, how was body combat? did you have a good time Saturday night?
Beth, I'm glad you have a good relationship with your MIL. I do too! I got the kitchen done and most of the laundry. What a steal on the shred dvd! I hope you like it. there are so many shred threads on here, maybe you can jump on there if you need support. Sim and I have both completed the 30 days of shred. But there are so many ppl on here that can relate to the pain and torture Jillian puts you through. So just a thought!
Sim, shopping with your daughter sounds like so much fun! That's one thing that I look forward to doing with my daughter when she is older. She is already a little shopaholic. I hope the rain stays away so you can shop 'til you drop. Bonus- walking around the mall burns calories! lol
Have a good night and a happy Monday!0 -
Hi Leelawatson
First of all I really like this forum, making these little one day goals makes them feel really attaintable... and for example yesterday I really did not want to work out but I did bc i had committed to it in writing.
when I say dairy, i mean milk and cheeses (i have reason to believe that it is cheese which is stopping me from losing weight as i enjoy the REALLY fat filled ones), i still have a bit of natural yogurt or kefir in the morning for healthy bacteria.
I drink soy milk or almond milk in my caffeinated beverages.
i am trying to cut out coffee about 80% of the time ( i love coffee and want to have it as a treat), but I still have green tea or yerba matte, which are supposed to be antioxidant and much more healthy
bikram yoga is probably the best most intense work out of all time. It is a series of 26 postures done over 90 min. in a room that is heated to 38C (I think that is 100 fahrenheit). What this means is that you are sweating, the entire time. your poses get much more intense as your muscles are warmed up, so you have a more intense workout. And best of all it is for all levels! When I started practicing I had no idea about yoga at all. At the end i feel calmer, more focused, and my body feels great.
http://www.bikramyogagvnc.com/benefits.htm
I highly recommend it. I have never done it 6 days in a row... The max was ever 3 times per week. so i am excited and a bit scared.
day 2 today0
