    Wow, this is what I need!! I weighed 230 lbs five years ago, lost 100, want to lose 5-10 more to be done. I've been stuck at around 130-133 for a year now. I actually was down to 127 for a long time, but somehow (last Christmas - toffee I think) gained some back and stuck there. My clothes fit, but not right. Just 5-10 more would do it. I am determined. Arghhh. I'm pretty good about doing the right stuff - diet/exercise etc., but I'm older, so metabolism sucketh. I am going for it, the extra mile. I'm swapping out some little pleasures with some healthier ones. I had previously decided October was the last month for this. My winter clothes are looming, and if I'm going to be comfortable in them, I'd better do something now.

    Okay, I must add a word of encouragement both to myself and to others: You literally are what you eat. It's not just something grandma said... It's true. Eat real food, not processed imitations. Do this neurotically. Be the crazy friend who refuses to eat junk. Sure, people will say, throttle back girl, don't take it so seriously. DO take it seriously.

    I am struggling to stay on track so hopefully this helps. I did this last year and it really worked. I have extra incentive right now because I have a check up with the doctor the first week of November. I really want the scale to say I am at least close to my healthy weight.

    I have never been a fan of pumpkin, so the only thing I've really ever done with it is bake the seeds on Halloween!!

    I just started on 10/1 and I am older so it will take me a bit to do this. I love pumpkin and will probably try the yogurt recipe. Pumpkin stirred into ff sf butterscotch pudding with a cup of cool whip is super. Add a teaspoon or so of pumpkin pie spice. I haven't done it in awhile and can't give you exact measurements. I have made the cake with pumpkin and is it super.

    Roasted butternut, beetroot, feta, pumpkin seeds and rocket salad.

    Ps. If anyone is interested in the science behind this goal..in order to loose 500g per week (1.1 pound) you need a calorie deficit of 3500 per week, that's a 500 calorie deficit per day..this should help you to shed the 5 pounds in October. Work in some regular exercise to help with this deficit without starving (not cool) :)

    Just for fun: What is your favorite Pumpkin recipe that will help reduce temptations for non healthy treats? I drink pumpkin spice coffee in the Fall. It is like a treat and coffee gives me energy. I want to try some healthy pumpkin muffins to eat with soup.

    Pumpkin smoothie made with 1/4 cup canned or fresh pumpkin puree/ 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt/ice and splash of skim milk or juice.
