MOVE-IT CHALLENGE!!!
Are you ready to MOVE-IT??!! [/b]
Summer is right around the corner and we want to be ready to shed these coats and sweaters! This is the perfect time to re-commit or jump start your routine!
What are your fitness goals? Are you still getting in those workouts? Or are you just starting a workout program? Do you need a little more motivation? If so please join us.
We are a group who are committed to doing 180 to 360+ minutes of exercise each week (minimum 180). We count minutes for all types of intentional exercise: aerobics, walking, weight training, strength work, stretching or heavy gardening. You be the judge of whether it's exercise or not.
We're here to support, encourage, and set challenges for ourselves. It's all about intention. If we don't make the 180 to 360+ minutes one week, there's next week to go for it.
The weeks starts every Monday in the month and ends the following Sunday at midnight. Then we start all over again the following Monday for week 2, 3, and 4. (and some months week 5)
Newcomers are always welcome!
If at first you don't succeed, you keep trying...just keep coming back to report progress or non-progress...it doesn't matter...it keeps us accountable and that's how we commit to healthy lifestyles. It is a chance to meet new friends and encourage one another along the way.

I really need some motivation at the moment. :frown: I have tried this challenge twice now and failed miserably. Maybe 3rd time lucky? I'm going to go for 250 minutes a week. Wish me luck!

Hi all... I've never joined a challenge before, but I'm struggling with exercise over the winter and in frigid temps when I can't get outside to even walk, so a group challenge sounds like a good motivation to get me moving any way I can... look forward to hearing what everyone is doing as we go... might give me some new ideas as well! I'm in - should do 180 pretty easily as I play tennis 3 times a week, and I am walking the dogs 20 minutes most days.
I am in Australia (Perth) and our weather is hot hot hot right now so there really should be no excuses.

Sometimes most of my movement is from shopping. Although I am having back issues, I will try for 180/ week minimum. I do count just about everything that burns calories, just as 'I count just about every calorie I ingest. My weight training class started last week, but I will have to probably stick to mild chair stretches in there for at least part of the week. Remember to add your snow shoveling (if that applies). I use stationary bikes a lot. I will continue t record in my MFP journal, even if I forget about the link.
