Living in southern California makes it really easy to get out & exercise this time of year! I usually go to the gym during the week for weights & Zumba, and hike with my husband and dog in the mountains on the weekends. I love to ski, but we are in a drought, so not a lot of snow in the mountains yet this winter. Summers are brutal & temps can be 110-112F, so I usually stick to swimming.

And to the OP's question about weather, I'm having a tough time with the winter weather this year. I normally try to walk outside even during the winter if it's at least 15 F but in the last 2 months, it's been below that most of the time. I'm looking for other ideas of workouts I can do at home. I've been doing Leslie Sansone but it's not as tough plus some weights.0 -

For Fun: What has been the most interesting part of the weather for you and how does it affect your ability to exercise?
In Utah, with the winter weather we get an awful inversion. The pollution makes it so hard to run in… We often have the worst air quality in the nation.. Yuck!
I live at the southernmost tip of NJ, with the Delaware Bay on one side and the Atlantic on the other. We've had crazy-cold weather lately, so I bought a three-month membership to a local gym. I'll prolly do the same thing during the dog-days of summer when it's too hot to breathe. Other than that, I either walk and bike outside (if it's nice) or ride my exercise bike if it's raining.
I've been spending a good bit of time in SLC on business and wow, the inversion thing really does impact your ability to exercise outside! Fortunately, the hotels I've been staying in all have fitness centers that keep me honest.0 -
