Working at a movie theatre, a bunch of people around the same age, free movies, discounted food, etc.

Yep, this one. This was my first job and I LOVED it. Worked at that old movie theater for about 4 years until they tore it down and sent us all to the fancy new one, where I promptly quit.

I loved making popcorn (and eating it, of course), chatting with my coworkers in the down time between movie sets, and watching free movies whenever I felt like it. Great job. Terrible pay, no benefits whatsoever, but a great first job.

I worked as an exhibit docent at Mystic Aquarium. It was awesome-- hanging out near the beluga whales, penguins, or sea lions and just talking about them with the guests? Very cool.

Pilot... But, then the 9/11 attacks happened and pilots were furloughed like crazy. Now there's a big demand again, but I'm too old (ie, over 30, sheesh) to go for an airline. Not like I could support my family on what a regional jet copilot makes, anyway...

A few years back, I was an assistant manager/makeup advisor at the Body Shop -- no, not a car shop. Body products. Haha. All of my coworkers were close friends, so working didn't seem like such a drag. Not only was I able to smell good every single day, but since I usually closed the store in the evenings, I could do my makeup right there in the shop and go out with friends afterwards. Not to mention, the discounts on body butters and oil burners were a bonus. ;)

I was a tour guide, technically a "Site Interpretation Specialist", at Lincoln's Tomb. Oh, the questions people would ask. I would make a game of trying to come up with the most absurd, but somehow believable answer possible to some of the really dumb questions. The dumber the question / questioner, the more ridiculous of an answer you could pull off.

This is a toss up between when I worked as a machinist apprentice for a summer and when I was the web designer and tech support guru for a small ISP.

Test Driver for Ford Motor Company at the Dearborn Proving Grounds. Had fun driving a lot of different cars and trucks, not just Ford's.

At a library. Oh my goodness, that sounds so lame, but it seriously was awesome. I still work in the library system, but not in an actual library anymore.

I guess I'd have to say my current "job". I'm a scrimshaw artist and run my own business out of home (mostly commissioned work).

I love what I do - I'd do scrimshaw in my spare time if I had any! I can take time off whenever I want/need. I travel to knife shows (Atlanta, GA and Janesville, WI) where I rent a table and meet so many nice people. My clients have such great ideas for what they want scrimme(knife handles, pistol grips, pendants....).

My first job, I was 15 and working as a cashier at Mcdonalds. I met one of my current good friends there, and we'd goof off a lot. We'd take breaks to smoke pot which resulted in serious munchies and us creating our own odd meals like "hamburger/chicken sandwiches" when the store closed and we had to clean at night.

Second would have to be Eckerd Drugs. I was 17, and made friends with my manager who at the time was about 25. Lots of laughs and silliness like dancing on counters to "ymca" or pizza parties in the breakroom..or looking at all the "naughty" pictures customers would bring in to be developed from photo. Working there never really seemed like work. Ahh to be young.

Many years ago, I used to deliver parts for a small company. I was really young and I was making more money than I ever had. I couldn't believe someone would pay me to drive a truck around and listen to the radio.

My time in the ARMY was a blast, but I would have to say my job now is the BEST fun. I am a paramedic (20+ years) and work with 2 agencies, teach for the county (and am actually working on starting my own business as a traveling instructor for our required refreshers.) and I ski patrol in the snow and work the racetrack when it's warm. I LOVE what I do!!!!

I was a snowboard instructor in college. No lesson = 1 hour of riding. Plus all the instructors would ride together, and every ride was a progression riding session. I learned so much about balance and techinique that year.

The university I went to was very conservative. I got fired from my on campus job because I was a DD for some girls who lived on my hall. So....I got a job at the local bar :) It was a very small town so there was typically the same crowd, but we also had a lot of people traveling through doing construction work and other things so I was always meeting new people. I worked there for 3 years until I graduated. If I could survive the hours I would totally go back and do it again.
