can you date your brothers ex wife

Have you always had hand-me-downs from your brother? There's a reason she's his ex btw.0

Sound like a bad idea.0

Isn't there some sort of Bro Code thing that you guys live by?
Rule #1
Trying to swoop his ex is dishonorable; a necessary rule, that has to be mentioned. It’s the biggest reasons for friends to part ways. The length of their relationship and who dumped who first does not matter stay clear. Don’t try and date, sleep with or even flirt with your friends ex , as they all should be off limits.
I'm guessing brother trumps friend?0 -
"This is my uncle... Wait, no, my step-dad... wait, no, my uncle..."
 HAHAHA!! This is seriously what went through my mind.
Consenting adults can do whatever they want but how do you explain this to the child?! :huh:0 -

Holy crap! Even WORSE!!! :noway: :huh:0 -
In my opinion, the fact that you asked the question is a clear indicator that somewhere deep within this situation bothers YOU. Pay attention to it.0
-
No, not okay. Regardless of what kind of person he is, he is your family.
Family is what you make of it, not who is biologically included in it.0 -
Did anyone else notice that the OP started this thread in July, 2012???? Wonder what OP decided?? And my answer would be NO. NOT OKAY.0

What the heck!
Who keeps bumping these old threads up? I can't be bothered to actually look at the original posting time.0 -
Explaining to your nephew why your name isn't uncle anymore.. it's daddy!!
Sounds like a good idea..go for it! Smh0 -
I'm kinda in the same situation right now. I'm seeing my brothers ex. I wanna tell him but I cant rte. now.
Yea, she is awesome. Feel bad for what he lost. Its been 20 years or more now. All of my friend know whats going on.
Maybe even some of his. We are both in the same state of mind. Its been 20 years. We had no children. Never the less, I have always liked her. even when they were togeather, But nothing ever happened. You just know. I lost her when he lost her until recently when I ran into her. Now you know were we sit. Same as you. I'm going for it though. Best of luck to you...
The OP needs info cause he's going through the same thing. Not really a Zombie issue. Maybe he could have just use the quote above and not bump up the July 2012 orginal??:indifferent:0 -
nope, i don't have a brother.0
-
Sure.
Just be prepared for your brother to never speak to you again.
That's not always a bad thing.0 -
Hey, go for it. I mean, in biblical times you'd probably have been obliged to marry her, or stone her to death. Not really sure which one applies.
Don't stone her to death.0 -
The wants what the wants. I'm going with a YES!0
-
I have a half cousin who has a best friend, and he and the best friend switched wives. They're still best friends. And still married to each others' wives.
Makes me wonder how that conversation went down. "Tradesies? Sure!"0 -
What is this...the book of Deuteronomy?!0 -

NO...no matter what it may cause family drama. With so many other women in this world it's better to err on the side of caution then to dive into her world like that....especially since you have a nephew who could be confused about it all.
There are other fish in the sea.0 -
Ummm I say no. Even though it was a while ago I wouldn't. I wouldn't even date someone my sister or friend had a crush on.0

lol so funny0 -
Read title. Nope. Read explanation. Nope.0

Just off tangent here:
If 2 identical twins marries 2 identical twins and both married couples have kids, aren't they really siblings? Things that make you go HMMMMM.

Think of the child and how he/she will call you "Uncle Daddy."0
-
Erm... erm... um... sure. Why not!0
-
of all the women in the world to date, you want to date your brother's ex??
try again.
This.0 -
So you potentially become your nephew's step father?
I'm reminded of an old song...
My little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad
And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad
For if he were my uncle, then that also made him brother
Of the widow's grownup daughter, who was of course my step-mother0 -
Negatory!
Dude.... Your brother put his junk in that. No. Just no
ROTFL0 -
Only you can really answer this.... If you are doing this out of a genuine love for each other - nothing anyone says will sway your decision. If there are other drivers driven out fear - loneliness, guilt, filling that hole in your heart then I would suggest ponder on these resolve them and see where the feeling takes you. I love this quote from cool runnings .."A gold medal"..."if you not enough without one you will never be enough with one"... Life is to short - live the life you love!0
