I usually put mine into recipes.. Right now I'm munching a chicken salad:
5-6oz of plain greek yogurt
4oz chicken - I generally boil or bake it, depending on what else I'm eating that week.. and then let it cool down
1/2 of an apple
Spices - I always mix it around differently, right now I've got 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1 tsp of oregano bc i'm addicted to it atm
I also added 2 strips of bacon because I'm a jerk who loves bacon
Mix all that up & you're done
It makes two or three servings depending on how much you eat - I've slammed the whole thing at once before though lol
For the entire recipe, this worked out to 310 calories, 22g carbs, 29g of protein, and 13g of fat (without bacon it would've been 4g of fat and 18g protein)0 -
My favorite way to eat it is with all natural peanut butter in it! Natural and Protein packed!0

Yum!0

I put half a banana (mushed) with a tsp of honey in mine. AMAZING!!!0
-
I like mine with fresh fruit and a sprinkle of turbinado sugar. I like the crunchy texture and the little bit of sweetness.
Sounds tasty!0 -
Plain greek yogurt topped with some frozen (thawed) mixed berries and a sprinkling of homemade peanut butter granola....yum!!!0

You could also try mixing it with honey, granola and cranberries as well. I find that helps.0

I add a little bit of peanut butter!0

I add Stevia and some fresh fruit to Greek yogurt.0

I add about a tsp of sugar free jam (All-fruit) to the yogurt with the fruit, and that helps.
I frequently add jam to my yogurt when i don't have any fruit.0 -
I've done something similar too...so those greek yogurt cups with the fruit/honey are delicious, but have you ever really looked at the nutrition label? Yikes! they have a crazy amount of sugar.
What I've done to spice up plain greek yogurt is add a bit of low sugar preserves or jam. It was lower calorie too if I remember right.0 -
I microwave frozen blueberries for a couple minutes, then mix in lowfat plain greek yogurt. It's very good. If I want it sweeter I put in a tiny bit of real sugar.0

I use the plain in my morning smoothie with vanilla protein powder, orange and pineapple. YUM!0

so agree, I buy my yogurt with fat and sugar for the few calories extra it is more satisfying and has more calcium in it which make me feel better about what I'm eating0
-
I use it frequently as "sour cream ".0

I just don't like Greek yogurt. The consistency is just too thick for me. It gives me shivers just thinking about it.0
-
Sometimes I take a teaspoon or two of sugar free chocolate pudding mix and stir it right in.0
-
I like to get the vanilla flavored greek yogurt and add blackberries or any other kind of fruit or berry.0
-
You can even use it to cook and bake with! And an excellent mayo substitute! So MANY things to do with Greek yogurt!!0

How weird, I just came across this idea last night when browsing recipes on Pinterest, but the person used the Cheesecake one as dessert! I'm definitely going to be exploring the jello idea! Right now I've just been getting plain non-fat and adding a Truvia into it. I should start making smoothies, but don't want to up my sugars too high. Sugar free jello has lots of good flavors too!
I just read the first page, I'll have to read the rest and write down all the great ideas. Thanks for posting this!0 -
Non-fat greek yogurt + homemade taco seasoning (I like Gimme Some Oven's) = delicious!!
I make this and use it in place of sour cream lately I like to make a chicken quesadilla with a Joseph's Lavash wrap and 2 oz of grilled chicken and 1.5 oz of Cabot extra lite sharp cheddar cheese. SO GOOD!! I've been on a total Mexican food kick lately and it's all because of the taco seasoning + greek yogurt!
The entire meal:
235 calories
37 protein
11 carbs
2 sugar
7 fat
3 fiber0 -
Yum! Never would have thought to do that. Going to give it a try. Thanks!

I can't stand a lot of plain greek yogurt, but I am hooked on the oikos pots! Vanilla flavour is wonderful! just mix in some fruit and voula!0
-
I mix it with a serving of cereal any kind you like... yummy0

I stopped eating the flavored yogurt when I discovered it had as much sugar as a candy bar! I love Greek Yogurt! I usually add fruit and a little sweetener. I also have made dips from Greek yogurt.....add dill, garlic, onion....whatever you like, and you have a high protein dip for all of your veggies!0
