    I forgot to post last week, so here is my 2/8 post. I seem to be on again, off again with the weight loss. I do really well for a few days, then pretty poorly for a few days. I will weigh tomorrow morning. Hopefully I haven't back tracked too much this week. It was a kinda bad week for me.

    I suppose it's time to kick it up a bit. This last week hasn't been a good one. Lots of stress, irregular sleep, not much focused exercise, and erratic eating. Oh well, if life was predictable it'd be boring, right? I haven't had the opportunity to go through everyone's posts but hopefully everyone is doing their best to meet the challenge. I have 3lbs to go, 1 more week folks - LET'S MOVE!!!

    2/15: 164.6 (I'm noticing that my body fat is going down and my muscle is going up. So I actually lost almost two pounds of fat and gained a bit of muscle. yay!!)

    I've been gentle with myself. I typically eat back all but 500 of my exercise calories each day. This week, I allowed myself to dip under that threshold when I felt like it. My goal is to develop sustainable habits, and being completely rigid with myself all the time isn't exactly sustainable. It typically leads to wild extremes for me between excess and restriction. So I'm just trying to find balance. Being patient and being satisfied with my progress.

    Since my weight loss has slowed (was consistently losing 2 pounds weekly), I've started measuring inches so I can see what's really happening. Combined with the body fat and body muscle measurement, it gives a much clearer picture.

    I'll be traveling next Saturday and haven't figured out what I'll do about my weigh in. I'm tempted to take my scale, but don't want to risk damaging it and not really wanting to lug it around. We'll see. While I'm traveling is typically the hardest time I have staying on track, and this is my first trip since I started my program January 1. I'm giving lots of thought on how to keep myself on track. I think tracking my calories is key. I expect the exercise to remain manageable, I think I already have that figured out. It's the food. We'll see what next week's weight in brings.
