I'm in! I am shooting in the dark at mini-goals because I am just starting but I have given it a little thought. Here goes nothing!

Now I need to get my butt exercising! I was exercising before Thanksgiving when I had strep. Since then I have had strep 2x and also 2 colds! I wasn't watching what I was eating but I was getting all these compliments about all the weight I lost (I don't think I lost a stinking pound). I felt great getting out and walking an hour a day by myself in the morning, kid free!! Hopefully this challenge will be my motivation to get back to it!! Looking at the #s and thinking I could be in ONEderland in April is an AMAZING thought!!!

I would like to give this a try! I am definitely in on the challenge but my biggest challenge is going to be figuring out how to post my results to this challenge. I have not done one before. I may need some instruction...LOL

I would love to join in on this. I will be 41 next month and I need to get back on the road to good health. I was doing really great for about a year in 2007. I lost 43 lbs. after being at an all time high of 161 lbs. on a barely 5'5" frame. I ended up losing too much weight and everyone was concerned. Of course, once I really gave myself permission to actually gain weight, I went a little overboard I guess. It was gradual at first. I was about 125 in Feb. of 2008, but that year the gym I used to go to closed down and I really cut down on my working out. The eating was getting worse and I hovered around the mid 130's by 2009. In fall of 2009, I had a gall bladder attack and was just eating soup and bread for about 2 mos. but the holidays were right around the corner and I ate everything in sight. 2010 I just didn't take care of myself at all. I started leading a more sedentary life and even though there were small attempts, I never really got serious. I have now crept back up to 150 - 152. If I keep going, I will be right back to where I started. I know I can do this but I do best with support and a challenge is always good.0

My current weight is 154.9, and my goal weight is 136.4 pounds (lol sorry for the random numbers, i'm converting kgs to pounds here). But yeah, 136.4 pounds would be amazing
I wasn't exactly sure how to set this up, but i've created mini goals each week up until the end
Three Month goal:
Week 1 (1/7) - (current weight)- 154.9
Week 2 (1/14) - 152.7
Week 3 (1/21) - 150.5
Week 4 (1/28) - 148.3
Week 5 (2/4) - 146.1
Week 6 (2/11) - 143.9
Week 7 (2/18) - 141.7
Week 8 (2/25) - 139.5
Week 9 (3/4) - 137.3
Week 10 (3/11 )- 136.4
Week 11 (3/18) - maintain weight
Week 12 and the END (3/25) maintain weight
I've set my goals weekly, so that i lose 2.2 pounds (1kg) per week. And then by week 10 if all goes to plan, i will have reached by goal weight and will have to maintain until the end. If not i'll keep going until then and hopefully reach it.

Hi everyone! (I am composing a group message and sending it out to each person at a time, which should be fun
If you are reading this message it is because you decided to join the 3 month challenge that I posted a few days ago. It is scheduled to start tomorrow, Friday the 7th. I personally weight myself in the morning (naked and after the bathroom) but if you don't have a scale just remember to weigh yourself at the same time of day on Fridays. There has been tons of research re: what happens to ones body as the day goes on! Oh yea, also if you're going to weigh in at the gym, do it BEFORE you work out!
I think it would be a good idea for everyone to have everyone else that's in the 'challenge' as a friend so at the end of the message I will list everyones screen name. It also would be a great idea to have diary's open to friends or the public (those are the other options in addition to private. You can change it under settings.) I think it will be helpful! If someone is doing well, we can peek and see what kinds of foods they're eating and also if someone is struggling we can give advice on food choices!
It may be smarter to have everyone private message me their weights every Friday and then when I get them all I can input them into the computer and I will get it out and post it to the Forum as soon as it's done! If you would like your actual pounds hidden, I certainly can do that, I will just post pounds lost starting week 2. Just let me know, I respect everyone's privacy and decision.
I'm really looking forward to this! I think I have told several people already but I think that this 'challenge' is a great plan! Last January my best friend (who lives 1500 miles away) and I did a similar thing between just us. We took before pics in a bikini and sent them to eachother to hang on to. If we didn't meet our goal (we had a 5 month, 25 pound goal) then we had to post the others on their facebook page for their world to see. To me, that would be the most mortifying thing EVER! It worked because we both lost over 25 lbs. It was really really helpful for me to know that I had to send her my weight every Friday. I liked Fridays because you have all work week to "work off" any weekend damange She put them on paper for us to track. It was so helpful! I believe this will for for all of us.
If anyone got this message and does not wish to continue on with the 'challenge' just let me know! No problem!

Thanks for starting this Kerri! I've been looking for something to keep me motivated. I had weight loss surgery in October and have lost a decent amount, but as I started eating again, all the old habits come back too. I need to focus more on what I am eating and start exercising too. Maybe you ladies can keep me in check? Good luck to everyone!

Kerri, I am sad to say I did not meet my goal today, my weight is 239.0. I am trying not to beat myself up about it. I know what I did. We went out to eat last night after a high school bowling match. I had salad and baked chicken but I'm sure it had a lot of sodium in it. Oh well.. I am going to try and not get on a scale until next Friday, yes, I know a WHOLE week. I have been on the scale everyday for the last year and a half. this will be huge for me, but I am interested to see how driven I am to do what I know I have to without constant worrying about every ounce, at this point in the game I want to see pounds and not ounces coming off. Wish me luck!0

Current weight: 181.2. One of the girls at work just asked how much I've lost. She says it really shows. YAY!
I'm DETERMINED not to step on the scale again until next Friday. This week's goal is to do my 30 day shred every day, no exceptions, no excuses. Also, to log every bite that goes into my mouth, whether it's shameful or awesome! It's going to be hard (really hard...) because my birthday is on Sunday. That means cake for sure and probably a date to some wonderful fantastic restaurant. I'm thinking maybe P.F. Chang's. Yummmyyyyy! I will have to be careful for sure!

I'm in! This falls perfectly with my work's Biggest Loser contest. Our last day is right before Spring Break so this goes one extra week then my work does. I have to weigh-in on Friday's at work too.
I am using up all my groupons I have been collecting. I started Boxing two days ago and I have an unlimited amount of classes for a month. Then I start up with a personal trainer twice a week for 12 sessions. Then I have 8 bootcamp classes I need to use at another place. Then I have a month membership to a Krav Maga Martial Arts Fighting gym to use after that! All this while working full-time and Master's classes full-time at night....this will be hard!

I hope it isn't too late to join! I need all the motivation I can get. I gained 50 pounds while pregnant with each of my daughters (born in 2007 and 2010) which got me to my CW of 189. I am starting the 30 day shred today and hopefully I can stick with it. My cousin is getting married at the beach in April and I would prefer to not be mistaken as a beached whale. I am in:
I have been struggling with weight for the past 10 years. At my heaviest I was 215, my lowest was 165 (september 2009). I was pregnant for most of 2010 so now I am trying to work my way back to a healthy weight. My long term goal is 150 but for 3 months I am aiming for 168. That is just over a pound a week.
