    It has never happened to me in all of my 40 years and probably never will. Eventually, you feel really ashamed of yourself for not having what it takes to provoke a positive like that.

    I don't mind it unless it:

    A.) is by a much older and/or unattractive creeper -- especially if said creeper is a co-worker.

    or B.) if it's not genuine -- just someone trying to snag anything.

    It all comes down to delivery and tact, though. Some of the most touching compliments were from old men that weren't making the compliment for any benefit to themselves, just a genuine observation that they'd thought to share with me.
