  • So.... I started this challenge and I already feel discouraged just after the first week. I weighed in at 150 last Friday and now...a week later I am up almost 3 pounds. I have been good most days this week and I am bummed to weigh in tomorrow being up instead of down! Take a look at my diary- any suggestions/advice are appreciated.

    Don't feel discouraged, please! I was at first too, because I was weighing more than I was a few weeks ago, but I'm still doing my thing and as long as you're taking the right steps for you, you're still making progress in other ways, whether you SEE it or not! I can't see your profile (and I'm not an expert either, so I probably wouldn't be able to give you much advice in that area), but it could be a number of things.. are you weighing at the same time of day in the exact same way? Is it that TOM? Are you weight training? Those could all be factors..

    Three pounds lost since last Saturday!!! That's a bit faster than I had planned but my weight can go up and down over the month so I am keeping on the same regimen and doing some weights to minimise muscle loss.

    8/2: I'm in. Been struggling all summer with not losing anything plus a sprained ankle kept me off my feet for 3 weeks.
    8/9: I'm 110% positive this is a false number. I have maintained my calorie goal and had some good workouts this week. I saw progress at the beginning of the week, then TOM came and wrecked shop on my progress. Hoping for a better showing next week, but still disappointed in this week.

    Up about 1.5 pounds from my end of July weight on Tuesday, but not too worried because TOM + starting to lift weights again this week= a couple pounds of water weight.
