The simple fact that after all you have been through in life, your still here fighting is inspirational. Your are a strong person! Never give up!0

you have been thru a lot and I think getting this stuff out helps us heal. I have never been thru anything sexual but I did have parents who were neglectful and didn't care what I did, just don't bother them. I married at 19 to a man who turned out to be a real creep, mean, alcoholic, neglectful, abusive and my parents just turned their head. I know what it is like to be ignored and not get any help. I like you did tell them and they were not interested and never said or done a thing, just traveled a lot. To top it off when I divorced they were buddy buddy with him and I felt so betrayed. They had him up holidays also. It was devastating and I felt so alone. They would tell me how pretty my husbands new girlfriend was when he left me, just mean stuff.
I have forgiven them but it is really hard not getting love from the people who are suppose to love and protect you. I am civil with them but cant feel that warm feeling toward them. I think I turned to food for love and comfort and made a habit of this throughout my life. I don't know why I didn't gain a lot of weight, 50 is my most. I knew I had to take care of myself and have a decent job cause I could not count on my parents.0 -
I wish you all the best in your journey. It was very brave of you to share your back story, I cant image how hard that must have been. You are such an inspiration, please never give up!!0

much encouragement for your journey! you have quite the story...and you are quite the survivor. don't stop--get healthy and share the lessons you have learned and will learn--there are others like you who are hurting themselves for similar reasons--you are proof that different choices can be made.
prayers and hope for you!0 -
Please add me too. I read every word of your struggles and your pain. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. She loved you dearly. You can do this journey with me. You are a true survivor.
I'm so thankful for my MFP friends. I could have never stuck to this without them. It has been almost a year this November and trust me, my un-dieting family and friends seem to care that I'm loosing weight but talking to them is limited. The details of my struggles they are NOT so interested in. Their eyes glaze over. Its ONLY my MFP friends can stand these long details and can sympathize with the struggles of monitoring our food intake.0 -
I've only just read your story. I found it through your blog post, so see it was worth writing!
Your life so far has been an uphill struggle but you are nearly at the top now, just a bit of a climb, and the views will be spectacular .0 -
I just found your post today, and I am in tears. You have gone through so much hurt and pain, and you are such an inspiration to be able turn all that into a positive. Great work so far, and you can only go up from here.

I know this was posted six days ago, but I just came across it now, and reading this was heartbreaking for so many reasons.
I am so sorry about your sister. I know how horrible stage IV pancreatic cancer is, as I just lost a family member to it last year. On November 1st I'm participating in a Purple Stride event to raise awareness and money for pancreatic cancer research. That day, I will not only be thinking of my grandfather, but now of your sister as well.
You are so strong for dealing with everything you have dealt with to this point. You can do this! Don't ever give up, and keep up the great work you've put in so far!0 -
Bless you and your journey. Thank you for sharing, your story is very moving and important.0

My heart goes to you. I think watching family suffer is one of the greatest heartaches of life.
You need to believe you deserve to have every dream fulfilled and success at whatever you put your mind to.
Great success to your journey!0 -
I found myself in tears after reading your introduction. It was truly touching.
I'm really sorry about your sister, sometimes life is just so horribly unfair that the best people we love the most leave us beforehand. But no matter what, I can guarantee you she knew you loved her, so don't give yourself a hard time because I'm sure you don't deserve it. If she took such good care of you it was not only because she was an amazing person but because you also are. Please, please, whatever you do do not punish yourself, it's no use and it only brings you down. Remember you're moving forward!
My advice: think of this as a project. You are your own project, you have the power to improve yourself, and you are the only one capable of doing it. You deserve better than feeling like crap all the time. Make yourself proud!
In a nutshell, I think you're awesome and hope you the best. And of course, you have my full support.
Best of luck!0 -

We all got to be out heaviest weight for different reasons and how heavy we got varies from user to user. But the most important thing we all recognise is that we reached a point where things had to change. You should be incredibly proud of yourself, life hasn't been easy but you're doing so amazingly well now!
I really hope to see more of you around the MFP boards. You're really an inspiration of what someone can do when they really put their mind to it0 -
Ohhh I am excited for you! I live in Florida too. I can't wait to go back!!!0
