Had such a great run yesterday - had to be up super early for a conference call and went for a run right after. Was awarded with an amazing sunrise and cool run (it was 105 here later in the day!). All I could think of was why haven't I been doing this and how did I get out of the habit of starting my day this way? Time for a change!0 -

10/4: 13 miles (It was 40 degrees F when I started, and the clothes I wore allowed me to toss my phone into my pocket instead of holding it. I thought this was a positive until I realized about 8 miles into the run, when I looked at the phone for the first time, that I hadn't actually turned Runkeeper on when I started the run. I know the distances on my route, so am pretty sure about the mileage, but I hate not having the exact number and split speeds now that I'm used to it.)

Needed to pick something up from the post office and had the brilliant idea to combine that with exercise by running there and back. It turns out that running with a (albeit small) parcel in the hand is annoying. Something to remember for the future...

Today I ran farther than I ever have before, so I'm really proud of myself for that. It really wasn't bad except for the last half mile or so I was cramping, but I powered through.

I am so ready for it to cool off - I am not much for hot weather under the best of circumstances and this is just annoying!0 -
I was so looking forward to the long training run this weekend. Hit my goal of 8 miles for the long run this week. My GPS was flaky though, so I can't get the fractional miles, but I do know it was 8.something miles!
