I saw a new to me Thomas Edison quote that I really like: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. " I love it!0

Good evening everyone. I've only been MIA for a day and a half and it feels like forever. I really miss posting frequently but being back in the office is VERY demanding and there's not much time to check emails or anything like that and because I'm on the computer reading practically all day I have no desire to turn on my computer when I get home at night.
I have a late night at work so decided to take a quick break to see how my MFP pals are doing. Despite not posting frequently I am logging my food and exercise daily.
Tuesday, Fire 55 EZ was on the schedule but I just did not have the energy to complete the entire workout so I completed 40 minutes. I did not get the greatest burn but was happy I decided to push play instead of just laying in bed.
Today, I completed the Burn Intervals dvd from the Chalean Extreme program. It was a better day energy wise and was able to get a decent burn so I'm happy.0 -
Hello! Today is day number 2 at work this week. We got 2 days off because of the snow/temps/wind, but now we're back at it. The kids are crazy! (I'm a teacher.) I did really well the last 2 days eating at home (NOT one of my strong points!), but today I am STARVING! I'm trying hard not to raid my stash of snacks. I keep those for my kids on nights when we're stuck here for meetings, ballgames or concerts. At least they are healthier snacks, but still! I am typing this during my plan time because I got done with all my paperwork and phone calls and I heard the snack bag calling my name!
I hope everyone is having a great Thursday! My time is up and students will be here momentarily!0 -
:noway: ugh im Soo close to my first mini goal and Im like counter acting! I need a kick in the right direction lol0

Good afternoon all! I really hate that I have not been able to post more frequently because I truly miss communicating w/my MFP pals on a daily basis but getting back into the swing of things has taken longer than expected. It definitely doesn't help that work is consuming a lot of my time therefore I don't have much time to do anything other than log my exercise and food.
I had a tire blow out on my drive home this week while on a major intersate during the pouring rain. God definitely protected me b/c I was able to maintain control of the car and navigate from the fast lane to the breakdown lane without a problem. While waiting on AAA the HERO unit saw my hazards flashing and decided to pull over an offer assistance. He was able to replace the blown out tire w/the donut in less than 30 minutes. As a result of this tire blow out I spend the majority of this morning getting my tires replaced and aligned.
Here's a recap of my workouts this week.
Monday: I completed the Insanity warm up and then Push Cirucit 1
Tuesday, Fire 55 EZ was on the schedule but I just did not have the energy to complete the entire workout so I completed 40 minutes. I did not get the greatest burn but was happy I decided to push play instead of just laying in bed.
Wednesday, I completed the Burn Intervals dvd from the Chalean Extreme program. It was a better day energy wise and was able to get a decent burn so I'm happy.
Thursday, I completed the Fire 30 dvd from the Turbo Fire program.
Friday, I completed the Cardio Core and Balance dvd from the Insanity program.
Today, I walked/jogged a total of 4.2 miles while my car was being serviced.0 -
hey everyone hope you are all rocking your weight loss goals0

A little behind where I wanted to be (goal for this week was 156) but it's always good to be moving in the right direction! Thank you for the challenge and THANK YOU Trenton for the chart. I find that highly motivating for some reason--I do not want to see my name and zeroes across the columns. I want to see weight loss and percentage changes!0 -

Kind of bummed about no loss but ate a lot of salt yesterday during super bowl so hopefully just water weight.

I'm still up a bit from all the sodium from the Superbowl party on Sunday. I saw a 196 on the scale Sunday morning....:ohwell:
So I'm sure once I get back on track I'll see a good drop on the scale next week.
I'm still trying to get over my bronchitis, so haven't been doing much as my lungs can't take it. I did the elliptical a few times last week & really thought I wasn't gonna make it! So my challenge to myself of doing a 5K per week this year has failed since I didn't get it done last week. :grumble: Oh well...I hopefully will be able to do the virtual 5K challenge this Saturday.
Looks like everyone has been doing extremely well in your weigh ins! So proud of each & every one of you! And for those of us that aren't seeing any changes - switch up your calories or your workout for a week & see how that goes. Change is a good thing & therefore should help out on that scale! Keep up the great work! :drinker:0 -
