I decided to have my weekly weigh-ins on Sunday since Easter is on Sunday. Today is actually a week since my first weigh-in for this challenge, and I weighed 168.5 this morning!!!!!!!! :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile: Woooohooooo!!!!! I am finally back in the 160's!

I'll post my progress when I weigh on Wednesday! I did lose .75 inches from last week. Not much, but it does add up. :happy:

since my hubby told me to stay home, due to the ****ty weather.. im going to take advantage of it.. Going to get some wii workout in.. Zumba, Wii fit.. and maybe the biggest loser for wii plus going to do some housework..0

I dont care for all the additives to my water so Ill be skipping this one. I do however have to have Nestle Pure Life or Ice Mountain if I am drinking straight water. Since.. you know.... FIJI is so expensive... lmbo

I have been trying new fruits. Kinda wish this could have been last week when we tried Mangos for the first time. Oh well. Guess I could attempt to find something new. Wish we had a Meijer around here. They always have something different there.

I dont exercise during this ah... week because of the strain makes me go harder. I am holed up on my couch on a towel right now... Grrr.

MEANIES! lmbo. I might have to figure this one out tomorrow. I have already had my white bread and honestly, tho Im not as happy with it these days, sometimes you buy what you can afford. When I can afford it I love the multigrain breads. I dont drink pop much anymore.... The only thing to give up really is chocolate and for the kids own good... Thats not happening. lmbo. However, i will switch to better for me dark chocolate...

(02/20) - HIDE YOUR SCALE FOR A WEEK (AGAIN). WEIGH YOURSELF FOR THIS WEEK, THEN HIDE IT AGAIN. I KNOW SOME OF YOU DONT LIKE THIS CHALLENGE BUT I THINK IT HELPS OTHERS. I KNOW SOME OF YOU WEIGH YOURSELF DAILY..
I have no scale. Not even really sure how I can properly do this challenge without one either. I dont feel as though I am losing just on the calorie counting approach. I need low carb. Thats my diet venue that has worked. Other than VLC diets. And Im not really into that. Ill have to give this some more thought and figure out some alternative while money is as tight as it is.0 -

I had some ice cold water today, not sure how I feel about drinking plain water. I use the Special K20 packets and I might stick with those, or other packets like that.
CHALLENGE 2 - WEEK 2
I'm not a big fan of vegetables, except corn and carrots. But I did try green beans sauteed with some crushed garlic. YUMMY!
CHALLENGE 3 - WEEK 2
I just recently tried Zumba....and I love it!
CHALLENGE 4 - WEEK 2
I am trying to give up junk food period and eat healthier snacks. Maybe try a few of those 100 calorie packs (hide them from the kids)

I just dyed my hair a new color!!
CHALLENGE 6 - WEEK 2
This is a good challenge for me. I am one to weigh myself daily if I "feel" heavier or just "feel" i look it.
I weighed in this morning at 130 (been at that since I decided to start this weight loss journey) and won't touch it again til next Monday.
I need alot of motivation. I'm a slacker, and i'll be honest about it. I know this is something I need to do for myself and my kids, but if i feel like i'm not getting anywhere or i'm alone doing it (single mom) then i just give up.0 -

The nailpolish ladies got to me.....went out today and got my new spring colour. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pedal to the Metal. It's a metallic grey with a hint of purple (very similar to yours Bru - without the flair for the artistic...LOL). Finished it with Mega Shine Top Coat on one side (left) so I can see the effects of the pool on the finished nails and the unfinished nails. Typically my polish peels off right after aquafit on Thursdays. Even did my toes - eek!!! They need a second coat though.0

Oh how I wish I could wear nail polish. The "powers that be" frown on it. What happened to the days when nurses could wear acrylics AND nail polish?! LOL I now just keep them short and unpolished. Not so pretty, but practical... I guess!0

C1-W1-not done. work on this week too. C2-W1-I actually got in some tea and koolaid instead of my normal pop all the time. C3-W1-Didn't track at all will work on that this week too. C4-W1-I moved a lot of furniture in the last week so I'm counting that. C5-W1-Dang It I forgot all about this. I will do this tonight. C6-W1-Never looked at it once since weighed in.
I haven't weighed for this week yet. I will do so in the morning.
~100 miles-Ive done 1.58 so far. Had hubby's daughter this weekend and got hubby to finally help me move some furniture around so only got one walk in for 0.63.
~20 hrs-I have only got in 2 min so far. I was so sore after moving furniture that I didn't do a whole lot but pick up and laundry.
~Challenge 1-week 2-Make h20 even more tasty. I probably wont do this. I like mine just plain right from the fridge.
~Challenge 2-week 2-Try new fruit or veggie or try new way. Ill see about this one. I'm not sure what Ill do.
~Challenge 3-week 2-Try new exercise/equipment. I'm actually starting 2 new programs this week.
~Challenge 4-week 2-Give up something for a week. I will try candy. With the candy from Valentines day my son brought home its been hard to stay out of it lol.
~Challenge 5-week 2-Pamper Yourself. My plan is to paint toes and fingers this week since I have seen a lot of talk about nail polish lately.
~Challenge 6-week 2-Hide scale fro the week. Done as soon as I weigh in morning.

Had an OK week... it was just kind of... weird. Guess I felt a little off all week, and I think it was b/c I was forced to do new exercises to compensate for the fact I couldn't run (shin splints). I miss my running :frown: The weird part is that I felt like I wasn't working or exercising as hard w/o the running, even though I don't think that was really the case. NEW WEEK>MOVING ON>>>>>>
Starting weight this week is 194.6. I'm definitely excited for the new veg/fruit challenge! I'm always up for a new food... might try one of both *yay* I think I will also be pampering my feet with a new pair of shoes... just depends on how the funds end-up after all the necessary stuff! Oh--and I will actually ask hubby to hide the scale this week... I think I checked it on a daily basis last week b/c I knew where it was hiding--UGH! I actually will only be weighing-in two more times before a long break (40 days--Lent!) until the end of this challenge... I think hubby might have to donate the scale!!! OK--think positive, this week will be better--go us!

Hello everyone....ok, on to week two. I did pretty well with week one, I think. Only missed one day of walking.
So last night I tried a new fitness class....it was POLE DANCING. :noway: Yep. It was not as much of a workout as I thought...a lot of standing around, then trying something, and well...I won't be going back. My friend and I are going to stick with regular dancing, and we're doing a hip hop class starting next week.0 -
cazzincali- Can u polish your toenails? I do this as I cannot stand to have it on my nails. I like my nails perfect when I do it and I always seem to chip mine right off if its on my hands. However, polish on my toes lasts for weeks and looks like I just polished them.
chatnoire- I used to dance to the Grind on MTV before school. And it worked really well. All that booty shaking really works all the thigh muscles and your abs.
As for me, I am slowly inheriting the sick from my kids. Isnt that how it goes? They get better and then you feel like death? lol. I have some ah personal issues that have me not exercising, inhaling chocolate frequently and feeling bloated.....
So its not a good start to the week.0 -
Had a pretty decent start to the week.. got plenty of water in today! I like it just plain with lots of ice... and even though I drink a glass or two of iced tea everyday I don't count that in my water since it has caffeine. Calories continue to be in a good place and I'm not hungry except the hour before lunch, so I'm happy with that. Can't wait to try something new this week, but not sure what it will be... exercise or fruit/veggie wise!!! No time until later in the week to pamper myself either, but I'm taking a vacation day on Friday, so we'll see what I can fit in!
I don't run again until tomorrow, but I think I have 2 miles scheduled! I'll update then... no weighing in for me until my normal day on Thursday! My scale at home is so old it doesn't register right anymore!!! The one at the gym is fantastic.

Sooooo, I ran across a talk show that had the c25k lady on it and she said that walking in place for 30 minutes equals about 2 miles a day. Soooo thats what I am doing. Here is a link for those that want studies to back it up and whatnot.

I just know that i have to get my miles in somehow and I cannot be out walking in this crap with my girl. We would be in the hospital in no time. I can walk in place for 30 minutes.0 -
Walking in place is a great idea! Can you also try walking around the house to liven it up?
I'm definitely looking forward to the hip hop class. I've got a bit of a knee issue, so between hip hop and yoga, I hope to get them stronger!!!
Also - i've discovered what apparently is OBVIOUS but I didn't realize it till now: veggies are pretty much a "stuff yourself silly for no guilt" kind of food! You can see it on my last couple days. WOW I got a lot of food in, and still under calories!0 -
chatnoire- A good rule of thumb is to have half your plate filled with veggies. So yeah.. Eat those veggies!

Yes... I have a pedicure every 2 weeks. It's been a treat for myself for the past... oh... 5 years or so. Love it! I also get a monthly massage. My guilt free pleasures!!0 -

Dang it did my weigh in and I gained 1.1 lbs. Im now at 195.6. I know what did it but I was at least hoping for not that much of a gain. Between being busy and not getting in a workout and TOM last week went to crap lol.0

Ok Ladies, I weighed in this morning and I am down .8. I can't believe it with the weekend I have had, I didn't do good with my eating yesterday either.
I did make it to the gym. 2 miles intervals, I am having a hard time getting past 2 min., I don't know if it is my body just getting use to running again or if it is in my mind. I am going to try to start working in a little of strength training this week and see how the shoulder does.
My new recipe today is fried rice with chicken.
