Wow some very interesting stories to read here.. Thank you all for sharing..
Me I am 5"5 what caused me to gain weight,
Well like many others I was never the skinny kid always the little fatty and always told so.. From the time I was in 4th grade I tipped the scale at 108 I can remember having to weighed in PE and so thankful there was one other girl bigger than I was.. After high school I did the herbelife diet, living on powder and baby fruit juice for months. Started exercising regually twice a day.. Then got marriedat 140lb then up to 200lbs with each child, lost all of it within 6 months of the first one, the second, took me 17 years to lose it.. Boys are now 22 and soon to be 19..
I was up to 239 started medifast in Sept of 2007 by May of 2008 I hit my goal of 140 continued to lose through transistion getting down to 129.. But looking back that was to low for me.. My face was really sunken in.. My goal is 138 what I weighed in my photo I look healthy and fit in that photo and I felt good in my skin and my clothes.. My struggle now is quitting smoking and taking chantix which causes fluid retention in a big bad way.. I drink at least 16 cups of water a day and my sodium is under 2500 everyday.. My fingers looked like little sausages today.. But I need to give up the smokes and yet maintain my eating.. So Even if I don't lose all my weight during this challenge if I can stay off the smokes and maintain and not gain.. I am still a winner... I have been smoking almost as long as I have been over weight.. While now I am not really over weight just not happy where I am.

Oh man...my roommate and I were JUST talking about the middle school days when everyone had to get on the scale in front of each other, have their fat pinched in front of each other, etc. etc. etc. How the HELL thought that would be a good thing to subject teenage girls too?!?0 -

My reason for being overweight is as simple and basic as total lack of exercise and poor eating habits. Went through too much of life thinking it was okay and that I should only worry about it when I'm older. I'm 27 now and wish I had other things to "take care of" other than getting down to a healthy weight and lifestyle! But, you live and learn and we're only human and we don't always "get" everything in life right away. Here's to changing the past and looking towards a great future!0 -
Ok guys, I'm weighing-in right now, but I am letting you know that I AM going to weigh-in again by Sunday. Normally I wouldn't do this but since I at so much crap last night and didn't workout, I know that that is the reason for the gain this week. I'm not trying to make excuses but I do want to make sure what I am writing is accurate. So don't be surprised when you see me post weight again on/before Sunday. (I am still so bloated right now from dinner last night.)
Starting Weight: 144 lbs (as of 3/13/11)
Goal Weight: 127 lbs (by 6/9/11)

Good Morning..... my weigh in is 178
I actually lost signifiacnt weight during my 2 pregnancies.... My first i lost 25 lbs, my second, l lost 30 pounds.....All I did was vomit, day aand night....sucked.......But ater my second baby,
I went through a big depression and put on all the weight plus some.......
Anyhow, my tale of woe, but I am thankful for my 2 girls and wouldn't change a thing if it would mean they would be any different!!!

Random Question of the Day: What caused you to gain weight?
To be honest I would say laziness. At my heaviest I was 277 and got down to 120 in less than a year but in the most unhealthiest ways. This screwed my metabolism and when I started to eat again..I gained some poundage back. But now I am here and going to do it the right way!!0 -
Alright, so honestly I have been weighing everyday, and I ate a lot yesterday, so today's weigh in was about a pound and a half extra from yesterday's weigh in. The difference? 160.8 vs. 162.2...I suppose I'll have to put today's weigh in, but I would much prefer to put in yesterday's. Ugh....darn food. I think I'll update my weight on Sunday too.

Well, I'm at 185.0lbs for the second weigh in. Was hoping for a bigger loss, but I'll take it. I'm officially 20lbs lighter than my heaviest weight now too!

Did not do so well. Was down to 133 on Tuesday, but as usual, the yoyo effect is happening. Would like to think its muscle but will wait to take measurements until next week. A big Congrats to everyone meeting their goals!!!
