    Dear PCOS,

Thanks for the excess facial hair, the incessive worrying about when/if i'm going to have a period and the lack of buns baking in my oven.

    Love,
    Elaine

    PCOS,
You make me bitter and spiteful at times. I work our intensely hard during my workouts only to either maintain or lose tiny bits at a time. PCOS give me some slack! My Doctors don't even understand you, so how can I?:frown:

Elaine....... my thoughts EXACTLY....... and the waste of money on the tons of pregnancy tests, because you just never really know if you are or not because of the missing periods. I'd be satisfied with just half of that money back......

    Dear PCOS,

Thanks for making me wonder when and if I'm going to have a period. Such as right now. I also appreciate the acne and although you never graced me with facial hair, I gotta say the infertility is just a blast!

    Hello PCOS,

Just to make it clear, I DESPISE having you around. I despise how it takes a long time to lose this weight that you put on me to begin with! I despise the inability to have normal monthly cycles. I hate all the medicine I have to take to TRY and control your symptoms. I hate the simple fact that because of you, it is almost impossible to have a child.

Thanks for nothing you horrible diease.

(Thanks for starting this theard. Great idea.)

You know, i actually started buying pregnancy tests at the dollar store because i got fed up with wondering? I was so frustrated that i made my pregnant friends test them to make sure they work (they did!). I buy like 10 of them at a time.

    Stupid PCOS.

    Pcos,
I am fed up with having you in my life. I am sick of you controlling MY life. I am ready for a new life! I am extremely dissatisfied with the excess weight, thinning hair, pre-diabetes and a life long struggle of an irregular menstration. I hate that because of you my only pregnancy resulted in severe preeclampsia and an emergency csection where my daughter was born at 22 weeks. Pcos I hate having to take provera each month just so I can feel normal. I will not allow you to control my life anymore! I am losing weight and with each pound lost I am closer to regaining a somewhat normal life and in june a hysterectomy will take care of you for good. I am submitting an eviction notice, you must vacate this body.

    Sincerely,
    You're pissed off landlord!

    Dear PCOS,

I'm sick of you adding to the already crippling stomach pain i have, and i'm sick of the facial hair! I'm sick of never knowing wether i will have a period or not, and sick of them lasting months when they do come, or coming 3 times in the month. I'm sick of having to worry about never having a baby, and sick of having to jump through medical hoops to be helped to have the most natural thing in the world.

I want a family, i want to lose weight easily and not be stressed all the time, but none of this is going to happen with you around, so please let me live, and go away!!!

    PCOS,

Thanks for the facial hair (which I have to have threaded every 2 weeks) and for not knowing when I will get my period. Thanks for making it harder to lose weight. Just know...one day I will get to my goal weight and then I will have beaten you.

    PCOS,
My profile picture is from when I was 19 and Pre PCOS diagnosed. I plumped out every year since then and am about to turn 26 tomorrow. Now I have to lose 85 pounds just to get back to a normal weight. I went through countless weeks of dieting and hardcore exercising through those years not knowing why I was doing all this work and getting ZERO results. I hate you for making my self esteem almost close to ZERO......and I give you ZERO respect now. NOW...I am DONE with dealing with you and I WILL OVERPOWER YOU!

    Dear PCOS,
You sure did sneak up on me, a defenseless child. Everyone was having periods and growing boobs. I was getting hairy and growing acne on my arms and skin tags. Girls were starting to date. I was going bald. Girls would have pool parties, I would cover up as much as possible because of the huge red lines all over my body from gaining weight so fast. Girls were very flirty with the guys, I had a man voice. Eventually I was diagnosed and told I would have problems conceiving. I thought you had got the best of me.

You didn’t. I lost the weight, I shave my arms, got those skin tags cut off, the stretch marks have faded, I can live with the man voice, no more acne and hair lose (thank god for birth control), I even bought myself some boobs, and I don’t want kids (yet). I got married even though you made me think no one would ever want me. I BEAT YOU. WINNING!

    Dear PCOS,

Thank you for the very embarrassing dark skin patches between my thighs. Thanks for making me have scars on my face from ingrown hairs after shaving off all that excess facial hair.

Although, I do know that diet can help SO much. I had always been told I could not have children without Metformin and Clomid, and I did not want to be on either one of them, and birth control made me crazy (and if I couldn't have kids, why would I take it anyway??!) Well, back in September I lost 20 pounds and low and behold, bam, pregnant. We hadn't used birth control in the whole year and a half because I didn't think I would be able to get pregnant. I ended up miscarrying due to mismatching blood types, but it made me see that a healthy diet DOES help tremendously. I unfortunately regained all that 20 lbs, but as of today I have officially lost it and plan to continue losing it. Also since healthy eating I have had 3 regular periods in a row and about to get my 4th.

Mind you, I've NEVER had regular periods. Ever. I started at 18 and had one every two or three months, and they were always light, short lived, and just not normal. Now, after 3 "normal" periods I'm kind of wishing I had abnormal ones again because this crap SUCKS haha!!

When you lost the weight did the dark patches fade? I also have them on my elbows, and occasionally I get responses like "Hey you have dirt on your elbow." or "Hey, your elbow is bruised!" and I have to explain it and it's like o-m-g... embarassing!

I'm not positive if it was the birth control or losing weight, maybe both, just glad to not have them anymore
