Just finished w1d3 this morning. It was actually quite hard but I'll push up to week 2 on Sunday and see how I go. It certainly gets my heart pumping and I'm enjoying the fact that it's only 30 minutes so I can easily slip it into the day when the kids are still asleep.0

ejb245 -- isn't that a great feeling, not having to walk anymore? Great job!! I haven't run with anyone else yet. I'm thinking about joining a women's runners group this summer... it's a 9-week training group that meets once a week. But I'm petrified I won't run fast enough.
Shannon, don't worry about that! I thought the same thing. I joined a run with a running group in my area and I was petrified that I wouldn't be fast enough, but you know what? Even though I've only been running for 2 months, I was faster than the two women that I ran with. And even if I wasn't, it would've still been ok. They let me go on ahead and caught up to me later. Plus, the running is easier/faster with someone next to you. Keeps you honest with your pace, you know? And it was easier to lose track of time with the conversations (stilted as they were at times). I know I'll be back to run with these women. It was great.0 -
W7D1 done. I only have 8 more runs until I am a graduate!! I think I've decided to do Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred after I finish C25K... I hope to start one hour runner when I finish C25K, too. We'll see! But for now -- another 25 minute run, AND I met my distance goal!0

Just finished week 9 on Tuesday and started the Bridge to 10k program! I honestly can't believe I can run for as long as I can... I couldn't run for a minute straight when I started without being winded!
Evan,
Please let us know how the B210K works for you, coming right off the C25K program, OK? I'm going to be in the same situation in another couple of weeks, and am curious!
Thanks!0 -
i "skipped" c25k saturday but then ended up running anyway lol...i walked out 26 minutes and ran back 18+....today i did 30+ minutes running on the treadmill between 4.5-5.5mph so i'm gonna count that as w7d2....not sure if i'll do day 3 tomorrow or tuesday during my lunch workout....0

Good luck! I love that plan.0

LarryPGH -- another option after C25K is OHR (one hour runner). It keeps you running, instead of doing run/walk intervals like bridge to 10k. I really don't think I want to go back to walking. Once I'm able to run 30 minutes without stopping, I don't really want to go back to walking. It's a mental thing for me, for sure. So I think I'll do One Hour Runner instead of B210K. You can find the program here:

Completed Week 8! But instead of my 28 minutes straight I decided I could finish 3 miles and did so in 35 minutes! Not the fastest time but still feels great since running one lap 8 weeks ago killed me!!0

did day 3 of wk 7 today plus a little extra walking at the end.....i can't believe i'm able to run 25-30 mins straight....wk 8 and 9 are going to be about picking up the pace and getting more distance for my time - bang for my buck0

Are you doing distance or time in the last few weeks of the plan???
I'm starting wk 8 tomorrow and it's 28 mins or 2.75 miles running. Which is everyone doing??
Not sure what I will do. I'm thinking minutes to finish the program and then work a few weeks in getting my 5k time better.
Thought???0 -

I am currently doing C25k with a friend. She is a new runner so we are focusing on time not distance.0 -
Week 7 Day 2 complete!! I'm running for time. It's easier for me to do time since I didn't have a way to track mileage. So time it is. I'll figure out distance/speed stuff when I'm at the point that I can run 30 minutes straight. I'm almost there!!0

This board has been a little slow this week! I finished week 7 yesterday. Only 6 more runs until I'm a graduate!!0

finished week 5 yesterday!!! can't believe i ran for 20 minutes straight!!! I was so excited and proud. it was hard and i wanted to give up a few times, but i didnt. On to week 6!!0

i finished wk 8 yesterday in the blistering heat...those 28 miles were complete and utter torture but only cause it was hot...the run and the time and the distance was fine.....once i finish the program and just head out for "runs" i'm gonna have to move them to an earlier morning time or late night time cause the south florida sun is just getting toooooo hot for me during the day....onto week 9....0

I ran week 8 day 1 today. The route I run at my house is really flat -- almost no hills whatsoever. I'm at my parents' house this week, though, and there are hills galore. So today was a little rough, but it really made me wish I'd been running hills all along. Oh well. I'm 5 runs from being a graduate!!0

did w9d1 this am at 630...woooohooo for me to get my a*s up and do it early since i will not be able to work out today or tonight...i feel awesome and am really looking forward to finishing this 9 wk plan and then just going out for a 3 min or 3 mile run....i feel amazingly successful and am very grateful to those on the thread that are pushing along with me...we are awesome....0

I kind of dropped off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks there. Been out of town for business and hadn't been getting in my C25K runs. I did the treadmill one night in the hotel and it was so boring. I don't know how I used to get on there for a workout. But, I can go ALOT faster on the treadmill, even though its harder mentally.
I did W9D1 last night and I think I can call me graduated. Went 30 minutes, no stopping, no slowing down. Under 11 minute mile pace with hills and everything. I'll still check in because I really need the continued motivation with a wedding out-of-town this weekend and a week-long conference in Chicago in a week and a half. But holy crap, I actually finished something exercise related! I'm even running with a low-key running club tonight. So weird, but so wonderful.0 -
3.18 miles finished my c25k 9wk program this morning....now just gonna hit the 5k runs 3times a week to keep my miles moving....i'm sooo proud of myself for finishing this program....now to improve time and speed next....thanks for keeping the thread alive folks....looking forward to seeing others finish very soon....shannon i know you are right behind me....0

Week 8 complete! It was miserably hot out there, I guess I'm gonna have to start getting up early to run (bughhh). I ran the farther I've ever run today, 2.17 miles! It was 2.64 total with the warm up and cool down. I can't believe I only have 3 runs left. I am right behind you, Denise!! Thanks for keeping me motivated -- I've been chasing after you this whole time, and you have made me believe that finishing it possible!0
