I tried on a wedding dress this weekend and was a size 16! This was a big deal for me because I kept hearing how wedding dresses are sized very small.
Not only did the dress fit but I fell in love and had to buy it, I atually like the way I look in it without saying oh this will look good if I lose 30 more pounds. Not that I plan on stopping now but it's nice to know I love how I look in my wedding dress regardless!0 -
I moved down a notch on my belt today for the first time in a while. I've been waiting for this day for quite some time, so I'm very happy!0

Today's NSV:
I walked up the hills in Seattle without getting winded or tired. For anyone who has visited downtown, you should know what I mean!0 -
Just wanted to add... in my profile there is a goal for me to get into those jeans my boyfriend bought me when we were first together.... I just tried them on, and zipped them up... with only a SMALL muffin top...another 5-10 lbs and I will be back into those jeans....and onto my way to needing even smaller ones0

Saw a friend for the first time in a good few weeks and she told me almost straight away that i looked like id lost weight! 14lbs down..but that was the first time someone outside the family noticed! Made my day :flowerforyou:0

I ate an entire pizza in one sitting followed by about 10 cookies...and still lost an inch on my waist.
To be fair....
I've been very very good, eating super healthy, lots of veggies and fresh foods and walking 5 miles a day coupled with 30 day shred.
I just had an emotional binge this weekend but it was nice to see it didn't slow me down0 -
Not a week yet, but tomorrow is Day 5 of no cigarettes... I'll let you know if I make it to a full week...
That's huge! Keep up the good work.0 -
I just threw away four pairs of pants that were totally saggy in the butt. Wearing pants today I haven't worn since 2003.
Also have a scale non-victory today (SNV--no typo) but will not dwell on the negative . . . . I wil not dwell on the negative . . . will not dwell . . . .0 -
I've passed my goal of running 60 miles this month.
And I bought a really cute dress for my niece's bridal shower in a Junior's 7. Almost fit into a 5... it fit my hips and waist, but was too tight in the boobs, which is a victory in itself because I've always been bottom heavy.
I don't care if Stacy and Clinton from What Not To Wear say I'm too old to shop in Juniors. If the dress fits and looks good, that's all I care about. The dresses in Misses were too matronly. You can't be the funky tattooed aunt in a matronly dress!0 -
My birthday is coming up in July and one of the festivities is a game of "formal kickball." As you may suspect it is kickball in formal wear. My goal was to fit into my Junior prom dress for this event. My mom made my prom dress so it was tailored to my 17 year old body. Last night for sh#ts and giggles I tried it on. Yes I am not quite fitting into it comfortably but I was able to squeeze into and zip it up! I have no doubts it will be fitting me in July. I can't wait to be 30 and the same size I was in high school.0

I have an NSV that I never saw coming. One of my big issues is that I have zero will power. My daughter and her friend begged us parents to go out to dinner after school, and they chose CiCis pizza. I love pizza more than anything, but somehow I managed to eat nothing at the restaurant. I even talked the cashier into letting me sit down without paying. When I got home, I made a yummy chicken salad. Maybe there's some will power deep down inside after all.0

I was told today by a person that doesn't see me very often that I had lost alot of weight. This was the first time anyone had said something about me losing weight. It made my day.0

congrats to ALL of you for your awesome NSVs! i love NSVs more than the SVs sometimes
my NSV this week is a BIG one for me - but it's all mental. for the last month or so (maybe even longer) i've done a really poor job of listening to my body. instead of eating when i was hungry (and stopping when i wasn't) i was falling back into old habits of eating what tasted good in whatever portion i felt like. this week i finally got my head back on straight i have listened very closely to my body and felt the best i have felt in probably... 6 months! i stayed in my cals, ate when i was hungry, didn't snack just because i was bored, and got all of my workouts in that i planned to! i really pushed myself both physically and mentally this week! tomorrow is my weigh-in day and for the first time in a long time i am not dreading it - im actually looking forward to it! yay!!!
feeling victorious rocks0 -
I've made it to day 18 of my 21 day holistic detox and I'm still motivated and I made it through the cravings and the down times without cheating and without giving up
I also made a booking with a personal trainer and have joined up for a 12 week challange through a local gym .... I have real self conscious issues with going to a gym but I bit the bullet and did it
Next NSV will be buying a pair of togs ..0 -
I only lost a pound in April, but I lost 2% body fat! WOOHOO!!!0
-
Mine happened today. I put on a pair of my fat pants (the ones that were too tight on me) and I have saggy butt in them! Another pair of pants gone! I am soooo excited!!!! Great job everybody! It warms my heart to hear these stories. These are the things I need to read on days like yesterday and today (I want to eat everything in sight...almost my TOM).0
-
I have to get rid of almost all my size six pants...because they are too big!!!0
-
ran my first 100% 5K Wednesday in 31:31 ran @5.7 for 25 then up to 5.9 for the rest I only did 5 mins of my bike and elliptical workout though just in case it was too much, I can cross that goal off my list now0
-
My NSV this week was having to pull up my yoga pants while running. They're getting so loose!0

I actually bought the first bathing suit I tried on at the first store I went to. This is a first for me.
Above all else? I think I look pretty dang good in it -- which makes me feel really good. I'm actually looking forward to swimming, boating, and going to the beach!0 -
MY NSV is that today one of my students said that my profile is definately looking slimmer, and they all kept asking me if I had done something different with my make-up. They said I was looking good! ( And I see these people 5 days a week)0
-
My NSV: I started MFP 1 month ago today! Now it's becoming an enjoyable habit.0
-
My NSV: I actually asked a girl on my baseball team (she had a bum knee) if she wanted me to run for her.0
-
It is so awesome to see all of your NSV's! They are so inspiring!
My NSV today:
I gave the kids girl scout cookies for dessert, I got myself Greek yogurt. Before I starred this, I would have eaten way more cookies than the serving size and not even think about it. Here's to having will power!0 -

-
I baked potatoes instead of frying them when I really wanted too0
