5'8-5'11 women before/after pics?

I don't have pics, though I should work on that....I love these posts though!! I am 5'8" and, like most women, I am constantly comparing myself to other women. What is interesting about this thread is that it really shows that we are all made so different and even if we are the same height and weight, our body compositions are so unique, that we continue to look so different!
I am 6 months into my journey, started at 200lbs and am now 167.4 lbs...2.4 lbs away from the goal weight I set 2+ years ago when I joined MFP, but I never got this close then. I always said I just wanted to be comfortable in size 10, and now that I'm there I am considering trying for a single digit size, which I haven't worn since I was a kid. We'll see.
Impressive losses ladies, and very encouraging. Thanks for sharing.1 -
Bump. So inspiring. Great job to everyone.0

I'll be stalking this thread, being 5'11 and 3/4... oh hell, I might as well just say 6'0". My goal weight is 170 lbs.1

Me too. Though I am short, and my biggest all-time crush is barely five feet tall, I admire tall women, especially if they are 5'8"+. I like it when formally heavy tall women get in shape and start looking attractive and start actually looking their height. Therefore, I try to encourage them, and I like to bump threads like this one and keep them going.0 -

Wow - this is such an awesome thread! I'm 5'11" and it really motivates me to see other tall women to see what they looked like and where they are now. I "WILL" be posting my before/after by August.

Been on this journey a while- Usually compare birthday pics, but it's a month away. I'm 5'9" and this hasn't been a linear journey. I'm focusing more on body fat % and working hard to maintain muscle while losing fat... and I shoot for a 90% unpackaged diet (eating "clean").1 -
I am 5'10" and lost approx. 83 lbs from 235 lbs to approx. 152 lbs. I thought I was always big boned or large framed (that was a good excuse), but calculations stated medium framed. Pics in profile. Currently maintaining for two years around 155 or so after strength training to build muscle & define. You all look amazing! Keep up the good work~0

200 currently down from 250ish (which is actually pretty amazing considering the shite ton of shite i've managed to consume and still have maintained around 4 stone of weight loss). Bucking up for a good new start now, when I've got to a a more reasonable weight (i.e. bmi "healthy", around 175 for me at 5"10) I'll come back here and post some pictures.
In the meantime, love this thread, bookmarked for whenever I want to eat some chocolate or not do some exercise0 -
Amazing all of you1

Hey I'll bite with this!
SW: about 300 (let's just say I avoided a scale like a plague lol)
CW: 173
I have a "large frame" very wide hips (I doubt I'd ever be smaller than an 8, and im barely a 10 now) and shoulders.
I'm hoping to be down another 13 pounds... but dang it's hard at this point! Would also like my chest back... lol.
Forgot to mention I'm 5'11"
Such an inspiration!! Awesome job!!
You look awesome2 -

I started at 240 (in the left pic) and now weigh around 175 (in the right pic).

I'm going to creep on this, represent 5"9ers!0

5'10" here, currently 172lbs and a size 10, my profile picture was from the summer of 2013 when I was 150lb and a size 6. Looking to get to about 140, or a size 4 whichever comes first. I was always between 137-145 until 4 years ago and would like to get back to that.0

i struggled with an undiagnosed gluten intolerance until i was 20, and as many of you want to say gluten is hooey, it changed my life. my entire body shape changed, my mood, my energy. with the help of living GF and dieting, i was able to get down to 158, my lowest weight since high school.... unfortunately i lost track of my goals, didn't see how much weight i was putting on, went through a rough break up, drank too much.... lost my job and became less active..... now i'm here. i go to mexico in 5 weeks and my boyfriend is coming with. mildly terrified. it's been 3 months now where i've been uncomfortable with my size, but been able to hide it. kicking it into high gear for the next few weeks.
around 185
mid weight loss around 170
lowest weight at 158
currently at 165-167ish

I'm really not trying to be a Debbie Downer or put a wholly negative spin on a post I *can* tell is well-intended - but heavy, tall women can and are still attractive even when they're heavy and tall. More attractive is a better way of phrasing it (and, in your opinion).
I agree we begin to look taller when we lose weight, but I think that's because of improved posture through weight loss and exercise. Thanks for the encouragement though!

Keep calm and carry on with exercise and healthy eating!
i know this is true - i get alot of people saying oh it just cos your big boned - i used to be tiny when i was tiny i was small boned - lol

Surely if bones were all the same size, we'd all be the same height? Why do i have great big man hands and my twin sister (only 2in shorter than me) has tiny hands even though we're the same size? I don't get it.1

Jen... you've already seen my before/after shot, but I'll share it again for others participating in this thread.
I'm just a hair under 5'9" and currently weigh 136 lbs. I suppose I have a mixed frame - my shoulders, pelvis and ribcage are all spacious and would lead you to believe that I have a large frame. But my ankles, elbows and wrists are all quite delicate/tiny and fit within the measurements of a small frame. So, who knows...
In the 'after' photo below, I weighed about nine more pounds than I do now.
I'm not alone!!!0
