I can't believe I used to eat that!!

Got a taste for fish sticks today, but let it pass.
Then I started thinking about how I'd deep fry them instead of baking them. I actually fed that to my kids as a meal every couple weeks, with deep fried fries of course. And for a vegie? Cream corn with extra butter.
What the heck was I thinking?

When I used to order from the kebab house for a takeaway, this was my order:
XL Lamb Donner/Chicken Shish Kebab
Large Chips
Extra Pitta
Quarter Pounder
And I would finish it all, and feel atrocious afterwards, but would never learn my lesson.0 -

McDonalds (and/or Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc) at least once a day, usually twice - Every. Single. Day.
Haven't gone near any of it in 6 years.0 -
I used to put sugar on everything (grapefruit, strawberries, and even Capn' Crunch) That is the way my parents taught me to eat it. I didn't know any different. Though I still love sugar I just don't crazy anymore. Strawberries taste awesome in their natural state.0

A whole bag of Doritos, a six pack of beer, AND a half bag of the jumbo Hershey's kisses. In addition to whatever the meal was.
Mostly I'm just in awe of how many calories I used to eat in one day. The sheer volume of food. I couldn't eat that much food now. You never really realize how much you are packing away until you start to track it. I personally was like, "Good Lord, woman. Pig much?"0 -

Quesadillas with full fat sour cream, salsa and loads of full fat cheese. Like, loads.
Also, once or twice a day I'd have 4 rice cakes with loads of Nutella. I shudder now to think of the calories on even one of those rice cakes! Big bowls of cereal with whole milk, and usually seconds or thirds.
Huge bags of Doritos, full tubes of Pringles, 100g 'sharing' chocolate bars...
I often wonder how i didn't even up more overweight than I did.0 -
I bet none of us could pack away even a quarter of any of that now before we were actually in the bathroom sick.0

Just a question. Did the beer work or did the food soak up all the alcohol making it just, as one might put it, empty calories?

I dunno, I've lost 98 pounds since March eating a lot of butter, ranch and mayo haha.
I used to binge on fast food 2-4x a week. Makes me cringe to think about now.0 -
I used to go the the local Mexican place, I would eat their chips with cheese dip just as a meal! Lowest point ~0

An entire can of pringles coupled with a 20 oz of mt. dew. I did this EVERY DAY one summer as a teenager.0

I don't regret anything I used to eat. I actually miss all that food.0

I still eat everything I used to, just not in abundance.
I used to eat entire pizzas on my own.
I used to go to two or three different fast food joints to create my own three course meals.
I could eat an entire large bag of Doritos sweet spicy chili with a jar of Tostitos spinach dip in a sitting.
I could eat an entire XXL Hershey bar with almonds. I'm talking the HUGE one.
Once a week I'd buy brownie mix. I'd prepare it according to the box, then sit down at my computer and eat the batter with a large spoon. An entire box of batter.
I have no idea how I made it to 410 lbs without any peers (parents, doctors etc) mentioning it. I was bullied throughout childhood and most of young adulthood but I really, honestly didn't know WHY I was because I didn't view my eating habits as abnormal. Funny thing is no one of importance called me out on my weight until I started losing it.
87 lbs down so far and it's nice to know I can control my future.0 -

Carne Esada Fries...marinated bits of beef, guacamole, cheese, and fresh fries. One corner of the take out box was most of my days work of calories if not all of them.0

The worse thing I would eat was a potato chip sandwich. 2 slices of white bread with lots of mayo and a bunch of sour cream and onion pringle chips. I also ate way to much sweets. I was once proud of eating and drinking nothing but chocolate for one day. Don't understand why I was proud of that. smh0

I love nutella spread on graham crackers with a little bit of slivered almonds. Thing is I would polish off half the jar and almost the entire box of graham crackers. Late night snacking...yum.0
