Struggles or successes of the week:
Successes -- Hubs and I bought some protein shake mix once I figured out that we weren't consuming enough protein every day. It was really hard to get enough protein in there without going over our calorie goals for the day. As of this post we've had 3 good days of calorie counting + increased protein intake, so I have high hopes for the end of the month!
Struggles -- I've been having mega cravings for sweets! I permit myself 1 dessert item every night, usually a cup of hot cocoa or nonfat chocolate milk. I make sure I have "room" for it in my daily goals so I don't go over. But part of me just really wants a giant candy bar or a donut or something. So far I've avoided that, but it's been crazy difficult!
I have such a sweets problem too......0 -

Great job working out 5 days in a row!! Ya know.. sometimes you just have to eat a bagel! Ifind if I dont eat a small portion of my craving im going to gorge on it later.
Thanks! And, you know what...you are so right! I was actually satisfied with my bagel and didn't worry much about it. Then just made sure I did some walking and stretching later on last night. I'm hoping to see a drop on the scale, but knowing my body, it may take a few weeks to see any kind of a drop in weight.

Struggling with my love of sodium! My daughter chose a chinese buffet saturday and I avoided fried foods and "bad carbs" but we all know how much sodium there is. A lot of stress this week with 3 cumulative exams for nursing school. All in all, I think I've done really well so far. I have a feeling each week of December will get more difficult with all the treats that come along with it! Good luck everyone!0 -

struggle this week: way under protein goals, also have been procrastinating going to gym (most of my exercise is running and some barre, want to start lifting and am maybe intimidated?--it's been a long time)
